Just in case and one else gets this is noticed the boot.ini file in the eve directory contained the wrong verison number 3482 was 3483. This means when i tried to apply the patch it didn't work
To solve this open the boot.ini file in notepad and edit the number to 3482 and retry patch.
Only do this if you think you have 3482 and its saying you have 3483 and won't apply the patch. DO NOT do this with any other version.

I also had this problem. Is this a sign that all is not well with the latest patch if they can not get this right.

I was having the same problem. Tried as you said and edited the boot.ini from 3483 to 3482. The patch was still giving the error message

I also had the same problem so in the end i downloaded the 2.05.3366-2.06.3492 but alas this one doesnt download fully i tried it various times still with not getting the full 35 or so megabytes whats going on here????? |

make sure you only change the Build=3483 to build=3482 and save it. Don't change anything else in this file. These changes are only needed because the last patch set the wrong build number in this file.
As the file says under no circumstances should this file be edited for any other reason.
If you are still having issues it may be for another reason and try redownloading the patch again. There is a tendancy for people to get CRC errors when downloading the patch from the site.

ya man all i did was chance the build= in the boot.ini filefrom 3483 to 3482 and click file then save then retryed to patch it and then it worked! no more error messedge
Caldari will once again rise above the gallente and take back Caldari prime!

NOTICE: Only applies if your patch version is "3483"
1. Go to;
C:\program files\ccp\your_eve_test_folder
2. Open: boot.ini
3. Change: Quote:
version=2.06
build=3483
codename=Shiva
TO: Quote:
version=2.06
build=3482
codename=Shiva
4. Download "2.06.3482-2.06.3492" here:
http://www.eve-online.com/patches/testpatches.asp
5. Apply patch.
Your done!
