Had a curiosity topic applicable to C&P crowd.
Why is it that biomassing a gank character to reset standing is not allowed but selling a corp thief character is permitted? In the latter case, the player is avoiding serious negative standing and earned repercussions resulting from in-game actions. To make it more silly, they even acquire ISK through the character sale. Alternatively, a corp thief is also permitted to biomass the thief character to create a new one for insertion into their next target.
To be consistent, CCP should allow biomassing gank characters and grant a 3b ISK payment for doing so. |

Because biomassing gank characters is a direct way to circumvent game mechanics in the form of negative security status.
Biomassing thief characters circumvents no game mechanic. Killboard |

Have you not tried just selling a -10 gank character. Because if you can sell them to someone then obviously you too can get 3B, if you can't sell them then obviously your just trying to dispose of something worthless, in which case why should CCP give you 3B?
Yes i know your not serious. But i am interested in the thought of selling -10 gank chars, they must be worth something to someone..... |

Not true. It circumvents the retribution their victim(s) could extract. Thus, the most fundamental game mechanic - killing your enemy - is circumvented. |

The key difference with gank alts is they aren't worth anything because they at most have 1-2 weeks of skills trained. |

You can't cycle corp thieves by selling the characters because nobody wants a month-old character to buy.

Killing your enemy is not a game mechanic. It is a gameplay option allowed by other game mechanics.
Negative security status, for instance, is a game mechanic that may allow you to kill your enemy in high security space under certain circumstances.

Gameplay Gëá Game Mechanic If you want to get "technical", people can biomass a gank character. There is no "game mechanic" preventing that. There is only the "CCP says that shalt not".

Give your friends the POS passport an eject all the things?
The real trick is getting your corp CEO not to notice that it's a little odd that your month old character should have a JF Alt complete with JF. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.
