I'm fed up of reading ostentatious announcement of departure from eve. I happen to like the game and am willing to wait for improvements; take your negativity somewhere else.

Funny thing is, some of them haven't even really left! I guess they're just frustrated about things not going their way, but don't really feel like making an argument about it.
I've had the feeling too sometimes, thankfully my conscience stepped in and wouldn't allow me to :)

Some of the people leaving will be the same people that left other online games because they aren't how they want them to be.
So they'll join star wars galaxies perhaps, and leave that after a few weeks, then go to the next online game.......
I'd hate to be married to them......

The answers to this posts are not helpful. I by myself hate such arrogant reactions.

There's nothing wrong with people having a passing shot before they cancel.
It helps CCP understand what's going wrong and hopefully stem the flood of people leaving.
However perhaps there should be a 'Why I'm Leaving' Forum. I often give up trying to read General Discussion because I can't find anything that's not negative.
I love the game and I can't see myself leaving for a long time to come. Mining is boring but I only do it once in a while with my corp so we pass the time by chatting.
Don't slag off leavers most of them have valid points if you can see through the anger. ----------------------------------------- Don't jump off the roof dad. You'll make a hole in the yard. ----------------------------------------- |

I agree completely with this post. No one is forcing these people to play the game and they are a minority. Sure there are some players that are disatisfied with the bugs and issues but each patch brings us closer to a stable and more enjoyable game. Most people will not pick up and quit, they'll tough it out, but they may whine.
The general public don't care if *you* are leaving, your friends might so go tell them. A long list of reasons why you're leaving don't help much either because if these are common issues, we don't need to hear about them all again.
It's unfortunate you're tired of "putting up" with EVE, but we're tired of hearing it.

Fine, they are wasting thread space, too, but if you don't like it, don't read it. Look how much more thread space you just wasted because you couldn't just ignore it.
Probable Quote: I can't ignore it, they are all over the place in the forum...
So you think you should add to the problem of cluttering by not ignoring but replying with more wasted thread space?
If you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
Who's worse, the fool, or the fool who follows him.
I can go on, but basically problems inside and out of reality, all around the world, are not caused by those that cause the problems, but those who can't ignore them and must deal with it somehow, getting the final word...
Everyone just give it up for christ sake...

>> Don't slag off leavers most of them have valid points if you can see through the anger. <<
I don't even really care how valid their points are. I'm sure CCP is already doing the best they can to solve bugs that make ships go poof, and cause annoyances.
If they want to leave the game, fine. They're obviously not enjoying themselfes if they feel urged to leave the game. And they have every right to leave. They also have the right to be angry and frustrated about it.
But those goodbye-posts are simply annoying and serve no other purpose then for them to vent a little and stirr up things before they leave. If a seperate forum would work I'd have no problems with it but I seriously doubt it'll actually get used.

You make a good point Captain Stern, unfortunately you yourself are doing the very thing you're trying to make a point about. Unless replies dont count, ofcourse.
Bah, I'm wasting too much time on this...

Hehe, hey I didn't start this, I'm just replying to tell people to just ignore and not start more in the future...
Just ignore, or... JUST SAY NO :)
