Rahmiro Wormhole Exploration Crew R.E.P.O. 16	Posted - 2013.01.11 21:10:00 - [1] - Quote We had a hs close to Jita last night so I thought hmmm I'll purchase a ship that I have decent skills for (heavy assault ships IV) but have never flown and know little to nothing about. Having recently trained hams, I bought a sac. An alliance mate linked a buffer fit so I went with that. We has logi sometimes. I did fit a Dread Guristas Warp Disruptor. After a bit of research I see some folks like to active tank it. Is this the "right way"? Would you mind sharing a fit or two? I plan to use it for small gang lowsec and null expeditions (pvp). Forgive my ignorance but I feel like this is flown somewhere between brawling and kitting or both kinda. If that makes any sense. Please share your experiences with me. The bonuses are well suited for it. Missile systems require no capacitor, which is suitable for active tanking. 4 mids allow pvp-trinity + cap booster. Lastly... 615m3 cargo space. You won't run out of boosters for a looong time. Fighting is Magic

You won't run out of boosters for a looong time. Only thing wrong with the analysis is that medium armor reppers are kind of crap, while logis on resistance-bonused HACs are decidedly not so.

HAMs give me roughly 15km. set orbit to 8500m and go like hell.. you end up in a looping eliptical that passes the target in a strafing type run. the basic fit i built can be adjusted to do pve, or pvp simply. i use salvage drones in bay for solo WH work. highs cloak 1 5x HAM II mids 2x cap recharger II 10mn MWD disrupter, scramble, target painter, tracking disrupter. lows energized adaptive nano membrane II med armor repper II DCU II 2x BCU II this ship is cap stable with either repper OR mwd. so run one and pulse the other as needed. 15k ehp 560 dps 1386 m/s kill em all.

The ships lacks a role in fleets&gangs and is for the most part a solo brawler. Problem is that solo brawlers don't tend to do well against good pvpers, they're fine at taking out idiots in big ships though. There's a few fits that work, AB+active tank+scram, MWD+plate and MWD+shield extenders. Active tanked has really REALLY low EHP and is very susceptible to neuts, on the plus side its tanking is good enough to stay in the fight against bigger ships but it's completely useless in gang vs gang pvp. Plate version is more gang friendly but pretty much outclassed by the Drake. The shield fit is remarkably good for solo. They all have their role and scenario where they're great and many scenarios where they suck. So unless you KNOW the exact scenario you'll end up in there's a big chance you'll get the wrong fit. Would you run into a BS that doesn't have neuts you want the active tanked fit, but if it HAS neuts you really don't and against a Hurricane for instance you really don't want the active tanked one either, etc etc etc. It's one of those ships that has a very small niche where it works, which differs per fit, and many others where it's crap. As such it's difficult to place them, understand them and use them. That's why you see so few. Amat victoria curam. Excellence in everything. Sacrilege has the CPU to spare and batteries are not used at all so they are essentially free .. the recently added neut/nos retaliation feature just sweetens the deal .. Swap battery for injector+med neut if you don't trust a static cap reservoir and want some extra leverage against cap users. Now who do I talk to in order for the batteries to get buffed even further .. they are still rather bland?
