i found a technetium moon and am currently mining it..the problem is, is it's costing me more keepting the small pos going then what I will be able to sell the technetium for. I now have 10k of the stuff..i'm going to let the pos run for about another month then i'm taking it down. someone else can waste their time and resources...

hi I've found a Technetium moon and making a good profit off it. What you need to do is replace your small tower with a medium or large(I'm using a medium) This will let you fit a medium reactor. Buy Platium and make Platium Technite. I've got a supplier and a buyer lined up already. Hope this helps you |

The second reply here sums it up pretty well. The money in moon-mining isn't just in the mining, it's in the reacting. A small POS would be useful for mining silicates or something on the cheap to react in another nearby POS, but when you're mining something good, it's a waste not to attach a reactor to that POS and have it produce something.
Reacting time is just as much a commodity as mining time. It's worth just as much money.

small control tower cost 4x more in fuel/amount mined than large towers.
Because you use the same amount of liquid ozone heavy water than a large control tower and mine 4 times less
