I am sure this has been brought up before but I can not find the thread...
Anyway, what I want to know is why am I being forced to (as an industrial char) go into low sec (being sent in to 0.4 or lower by my agent) to do missions and take the chance of getting podded and loosing 300+mill in implants compared to a reward of a few loyalty points, corp status and very little isk.
I refuse to go into low space because the risk does not equal the reward, why are we forced to do this, (what I mean by forced is if you refuse you loose status with your agent and corp (effective status)). It should be my right as a paying customer here not to be penalized for not wanting to take the risk. It kinda ticks me off that I have to do this, I just lost 10 points with my agent (Looking to get more lvl4 R&D agents) because i turned down 3 missions in a row...One masive delivery, 3 stops in 0.4 and below in an indy (no instas), another delivery threw 3 low sec systems etc....
Now I know this was talked about before but I never did hear CCP's answer to this.
Anyone ?
PS, sorry about this small rant.

You can decline a mission for free every four hours. So, either you take the wait, or find ways of doing the missions.
Ways to make mission running safer can be to find an agent at a good location. If they are far from low sec space, they are less likely to send you there.

Doesn't work. Every empire agent, even noob agents, now sending you to low sec space. Going far away only increase amount of jumps in the mission. I heard that it's a bug, which is pretty nasty and unfair, because rewards for this missions are the same as for normal ones, which means no reward at all.

Thermal, you could use three or four agents from the same corp, if one offers you a mission that you decline, you can go to another agent and seee what they offer you.
At least you will have a choice of multiple missions within the four hours.

You are a paying customer for the game yes
that doesn't mean the game has to be catered for your individual wishes now does it.
This game Isn't risk free im afraid.... U could allways ask one of your corp m8's to scout ahead for you in a tech I frig. for a share of the rewards.. or presuming they dont have to do it for too long they might actually enjoy it

You're a paying customer but you're voluntarily a paying customer. The only right paying for the game gives you is the right to stop paying.

The whole risk versus reward debate focused on combat missions giving you the chance to fight back etc. Unfortunately, for the minority of mission runners that do missions that require haulers this is not the case
I decided that as I'm gonna be sent through lower sec space anyway I'd pick an agent in 0.4 or lower to increase my rewards (albeit marginally) and cut down the risk by creating bookmarks... and crossing my fingers every time I undock.
I must admit that having no implants decrease my anxiety levels, but I also do extra trips rather than outfit my Itty with local expanders.

Staying inside low sec is probably safer than going back and forth from high sec. Gankers seem to be most common at high>low gates.
There's also some low sec system that are safe most the time because they aren't connected to 0.0, so serious pirates are unable to go there.
All in all, it pays to learn about the areas, and you may find out that "Oh my, it's 0.4 and I'm going to die a quick and horrible death!!!" is a hasty reaction. I go to low sec all the time, and all I have ever lost that way is two ships and one pod.
