At least a legion of scruffy gypsies and hippies will get a proper wash.

Just got back
Filthy, knackered but happy.
Contrary to the impression given by those picture it only rained for about 4hrs the whole 4 days I was there...
Thursday - Sunny - sunburnt Friday - 2 months rainfall in 4 hrs Saturday - Cloudy but no more rain Sunday - Hot and sunny
But by God what rain.
Fortunately I was camped on high ground so avoided the flooded tent - however one of my friends had her ten submerged in 3 feet o flood water.
She went to leave but the field that her car was parjed in also had two feet of water and she couldnt get to her car.
She bought a new tent and soldiered on.
They sold 33,000 pairs of Wellington boots on the site and the police had to guard the tent selling them to avoid a riot.
Unfortunately I didnt get a pair which meant two days of mucky wet feet... but it was worth it
For those that are interested I saw the following bands:
Friday The Thrills (okay) The Zutons (okay - just not my taste) Elvis Costello (poor in my opinion) The Doves (fantastic) The Killers (absolutely mind blowing - should have been the headliners) The White Stripes (great tunes, great musicians - but they didnt really get the crowd going - was a little disappointed with them really)

I only got to see it on tv but i thought kaiser chiefs, bassment jaxx, coldplay were superb...but fatboy slim was just brilliant, looked like an amazing show wish i could have been there for that alone :(

Fatboy Slim clashed with The White Stripes. I had seen Fatboy before so decided to give it a miss and watch the White Stripes instead - kinda wish I had stuck with Fatboy Slim now as imo White Stripes were a little dissappointing
Altho I had another reason and that was it was almost impossible for me to get from where my tent was to the second stage due to the water and mud... I didnt have wellies and it was up to people's knees in some places...

Yeah the white stripes annnoy the **** out of me so id have steered well clear. I saw some of it on tv and it was more wierd than entertaining...they're just daft clearly, in my opinion at least, in the twilight zone or something.
I still cant belive you didnt take wellies loool
