On July 6 the G8 summit will take place in Scotland. I thought we as the EVE community could show our support for Live8 too (www.live8.com).
I want as many pilots as possible to come to Yulai IX - Concord Bureau on July 6, 15 minutes before downtime. Just to show that we want to be heard too.
Yes it might bring the server down, but it'll be downtime anyway. A child is dying of extreme poverty every 3 seconds and it is a disgrace we let this happen when we need not. It's time to stand and be counted. I don't want your money. Live8 don't want your money. Just your voice.

As you can imagine we, like everyone else are extremely sensitive to Live8, however I suggest something more creative than crashing the server, no matter how well intentioned it is.
Moved to OOE.

who exactly is going to see/hear you anyway? Its pointless.
Just like all the protests that are going to send my beloved country's capital city into a warzone for no reason.
People have the right to protest, true. But if you think thats gonna save some kid in africa then im afraid you need to come back to the real world.

Whilst your intention may be honorable, I just might add at this point that any activities to purposely disrupt or influence the EVE-Online servers and gameplay is against the EVE-Online EULA and will have consequences.
