Also there is no reason why you should be spawned like 15-20km outside of the station. after all when you drive your car outside of the garage does your car magically appear 10-20 km away from the garage
The best solution to this minour Ganking problem is to enable people inside the station to see whats outside.
Or use an alt to look outside
Following your logic why not make all ships spawn right on top of gate so that they can insta jump back as well....
Everyone saying this is ganking etc, well, so it happens I ask for this feature so that I can hunt pirates. As it is now, all SS/log (this will hopefully be fixed with new 30 min log off timer and covert ship granted scan gets un-bugged) or dock and then play undock/redock game which is very annoying.
Empire wars suffer on this too as this is very common tactic to do very same out/in manuver there too.
Also, person who knows what he/she is doing does know that when you undock all you need to do is to do exactly nothing. Once invulnerability timer expires you can redock instantly as re-dock timer expired already as well! Just make sure you don't activate any modules or adjust speed / move ship and it is impossible to lock.
Your Heavy Neutron Blaster II perfectly strikes Serpentis Chief Sentinel, wrecking for 660.4 damage.

I agree with the original poster, however...
Stations should really have a facility to see whos outside - and dont anyone give me that 'use an alt' crap here, alts **** up eve game play enough as it is!
Then you makes your informed choice and you should have to stick by it. Dont think timers are the answer here tho either - be better if there was a 'docking procedure' that took some seconds and you ship could not dock while your webbed for example.
The 15 invunerabiliy undocking timer should stay however - this is purely because often pilots appear 'outside' long before that pilot is actually 'outside' - particularly in busy systems. Blowing someone up before they can even see you is not really fair and would result in a mass of petitions and whining.

Stations should auto attack any ship not in their corporation that engages in hostile acts inside the docking zone. One stray shot down the docking bay....OMFG!!!
Of course your standings with ownning corp should help out also, but they dont.

I agree this is freakin boring, but I don't think there is any real solution ("use an alt" is NOT a valid solution honestly IMO ). Atleast it has one advantage: it makes station camping (almost) pointless and even more boring ;] so just forget about it and hunt for your targets instead of trying to camp The aggro timer is pretty absurd sometimes too... Lately I remember being at a gate in an Inty, with an hostile inty locking me, both at jumping range, both waiting for the other to aggro to call her/his corpmates to warp in. We waited there one or two minutes, then kindly said goodbye to each other and warped out quietly...

I'll Sign naals suggestion if they EVER make it so cans can stop being "perm - non anchord" in front of a station...

in reply to Nall i do know that if i dont fire i can just redock. i just feel its wrong forcing anyone leaving station to spawn 15km outside of a station and i do agree it is a bit odd you do spawn 15km from a gate. Im just disagreeing with your idea of a 15km spawn from a station.

We should make a rule, all ships should be destroyed instantly upon undocking! There is a good reason for the invulnerability timer, lag.
Personally I think we should be allowed to shoot our guns in the station! Don't want to undock? Well by God I'll come in and get you! That would be fun flying around in the station and shooting **** up.

Thats the exact reason why they do it. U get ****ed off and go away. They are left there to go bk to missioning/mining or whatever. What else would one do? Normaly i just go afk and watch a movie leaving them smacking/sitting there. When i come bk its very funny watching them waste their time. -----------

I've only once ever been podkilled and that was while undocking in a frigate, aware of 3 hostile ships outside.
My plan was to jam them and go circles around them.
I press undock, I see SPACE LOADING... a minute later I still see SPACE LOADING... four minutes later it's still SPACE LOADING.. suddenly my screen bursts to life!
I'm docked in a noob ship in another station, having been freshly cloned!
Oh my, that was fun for me and the stationcampers!
Yes, it truly is the bane of PVP

The way most staions look and work it would most of the times result in death, Dock in those minmatar stations (thinking about the one in Eo2,thucker mix?) and then try to warp out with out being stuck in it....good luck with that.
There are more serious stuff ccp need to focus on than this tbh.

It is not crying. It is merely a call to reasonbale solutions in times of making everything REALISTIC.
Let's face it, if you know you're 'camped', don;t undock, if you do so, you risk it....
I would definitely, and I am very occasional PvPer, vote for soem measures to limit above bahaviior.
I agree. To whoever suggested it, it's not realistic to 'transport' your ship 20km from the station when you undock. It is realistic to open the door, see it's camped, and run back in ... albeit like a coward ... but at least it's real.

One solution I have been pondering recently. What if you had high standings with the corp that owns the station (and I mean really high like 9.0+) you could request people to be ejected for a fee and not allowed to redock for a couple of minutes. This would make standings useful for a pvp corp as well as meaning you'd have to check the ownership of a station you docked at as well as the standings of those chasing you towards them.

i think its fine as it is, i also think that you should be able to dock immediatly after "an agressive action" with a corpmate/war victem. Also you should be able to jump without the lame timer as well.

This is lame, even as a noob I can see that camping a station is just stupid.
And on top of that you dont want the pilot to undock and see if theres still ships outside? How can you say the pilot KNOWS he/she is being camped? Is there gear out there thats lets me see whats outside the station?
Maybe I dont understand somthing, but this sure smells fishy...

You are quite right this threads lame its just a ganker wanting to make things easier for himself and no there is no gear that tels if anyone is lurking outside a station appart from the local channel but all that tels you is that someone is in same system he could be minng/rathunting/campingthe station or hes sat in a station himself.
current system is fine
on a side note i was once bounced by someone i undocked and his armageddon was at the entrance causing me to bounce 3 km away but it was no problem i was in my apoc to kill him anyway and i did

While I'd happily make a kill on an undocking enemy, such kills are bottom feeding of a sort. I'd make the kill, but it would be nothing to brag about.
A BETTER solution would windows on the station. If that was added, then a slower redock if declared war enemies are in system would be fine.
