Is it just me or does anyone else suffer long waiting times whilst logging in. I timed it this morning and it takes me at least 5 minutes to log in, while the message tells me got roles, etc. I love this game and have only been playing for 1 day, but this has got to rate as the longest login time for any MMORPG.
I have 56k connection, 2000+ XP Athlon, ATI Radeon 8500 PRO GFX card. Game itself plays like a dream so far, just those darn log in times.....!!!!

Well I just logged in again and it took about 20 seconds. Maybe the long log in just happens after a patch??? Oh well, off to mine a few asteroids......

strange, log in time is really quick <20 seconds also, where in the world are you located?

Well I am in UK - Wales and just trying to log in again - stopped on got races again, so it looks like another few minutes....oh hang on just getting into game now..... BTW my isp is BTOpenworld :(

Can any DEVs out there give me any idea why my log in times are so long. Logging in again now and it has taken me 6 minutes again >:(
My modem is external Diamond Supraexpress 56e PRO and I have tried another ISP ( Claranet ) with the same long log-in times as with BT.
Any tips guys?

Same happens to me?
sometimes login takes 15 seconds
sometimes it takes 5 mins
?

I've had similar problems. It only happens every now-and-again tho. Sometimes it takes approx 20s, sometimes 5min, I just figured it was my connection - 56k USR modem on Tiscali (UK). I can't remember experienceing this problem when I was at university with a 10MB/s connection, tho it'd take a little longer to login if I'd deleted the contents of my cache folder before starting the game (which I try to do before every patch as I find it usually helps! ;-))
Anyway, as I say I think it's just maybe a slightly dodgy connection every now-and-again with my 56kbps modem!?!

I have the same. I'm on a wireless Broadband connection and sometimes my computer loses the wireless signal. When this happens I log out the game, but when I try to log back in it can take ages. I've tried clearing the cache but this dosen't help

Same thing happens to me.
I usually experience it after being podded.
Cheap and Easy - but only Nasty on request. |

Ah its reassuring to see that it is not just me. However, I have not had any such problems since Tuesday and have been logging in about 20 sec :)
