We are a new corp and we went to go to see where it all started.

The EVE Gate is an animated background, not a 3 dimensional object sadly  The closest you can get would be to warp to the Star in the New Eden system and then do a manual navigation torwards the center of the closed wormhole. Keep going far enough and you will see a lot of cargo containers dedicated to friends who have died of cancer, lost loved ones, and a few "i was here".
Sadly, you will still not ever be able to reach it, and for roleplaying reasons even if you could the gravitational force of the worm-hole would crush any ship you threw at it.

i actually come from the other side of the gate, and a lot of my friends are waiting and will pass through soon. but do not be afraid.

Can someone show me a screenshot of the Pre-Exodus EVE Gate? (i think the system is called EVE or New Eden). I know the graphics of the background changed with Exodus, and i had never gone there before Exodus.

I took this ages ago, pretty sure it was before Exodus, dont think ive been to New Eden since then. I flew towards it for hours, but I realised I was never going to reach it, and gave up :(

the gate IS there...
its just too far away to show up on scanner.
how do i know?
look at the new eden system on the starmap, zoom RIGHT IN on it... right up close...
you can see (like on normal system, the rings of all the planet orbits) a white dot, thats GOT to be the eve-gate....

If its out of scanner range, maybe it will show up if you use probes.

Or one of the two hidden stations in that system :)
The gate may actually exist, but I've never once heard of anyone discovering it, finding it, or scanning it. Even with traveling for weeks on end dead into the center of the gate with a sustainable interceptor using MWD.
