Hi all.
I just bought a Megathron and can't find a good setup. I want to use it for PvP, close range combat. Not all damage, but also some tank. Can you please give me some ideas, coz the setup i ended up with im not quite happy with.
Current setup (17,926MW/684.2tf):
High slot (11,500MW/325.6tf):
6x Anode Mega Electron Particle Cannon I (7,500MW/225.6tf) 2x Heavy Nosferatu I (4,000MW/100tf)
Med slot (2,420MW/157tf):
1x J5 Prototype Warp Inhibitor I (1MW/34tf) 1x 100MN Afterburner II (688MW/50tf) 1x Heavy Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I (1,750MW/40tf) 1x 'Orion' Tracking CPU I (1MW/33tf)
Low slot (4,006MW/201.6tf):
2x Large 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructor I (4,000MW/92tf) 1x Radioisotype Explosive Hardener I (1MW/34tf) 1x Radioisotype Thermic Membrane I (2MW/21tf) 1x Radioisotype Magnetic Membrane I (2MW/21tf) 1x Capacitor Power Relay I (3.6tf) 1x Megnetic Field Stabilizer II (1MW/30tf)

Depends really. If i have friends around in covert ops, i always take
7xModal Neutrons 1xHeavy nos
2x7.5k scramblers 2xSensor Booster II
Med Armour Rep II 6x Magnetic Field stabilizer IIs
Warp to covert ops and toast anything in range. Use the rep to heal up after the fight and get back into the action
For a tank/bait role i take 4xHeavy nos 4xModal Neutrons
MWD, webber, scrambler, cap recharger II
Large rep accom, Med rep II 2x hardners 2x mag field stabs 1xPDU II

he is close range fighter so he could use 2 x 7500 meters scramblers np
and 2 boosters will decrese his locking time

but wouldn't 1 scrambler be enough? and regarding locking time, thought it would be better with another module.

Tanking is pretty obsolete in PvP. any damage setup will pwnt a tanker.

Well, theres 3 types of ships out there. Type 1 has zero WCS, Type 2 have 2 WCS and type 3 have n WCS, where n is the number of low slots onthe ship. So long as you discount the travel configs, most combat configs will have at the most 2 WCS, if you can get your scramble strength above that, then you have a pretty good chance of tackling everything you want to shoot.

the OP's setup is not bad at all. I would drop the CPR for another dmg mod as u have the injector and 1 cpr really is going to make bugger all difference. Drop the tracking comp too. Fit a sensor booster if u got tackling help or a web if u havent (or even another scram if going against BS)

problem is that he won't get cpu for dmg mod.
Try rather: 7x modal electrons, 1 nosf low: 2x lar, 4x n-type hardeners, dmg mod
But i suggest you either fit 425mm or neutrons with no tank at all. Cause dmg of those electrons is ...
