It was the main food source for another extinct bird named the Haast's Eagle. Man came and hunted the Moa to extinction and with the Moa gone, the Eagle also became extinct. Put it in EVE perspective, the Moa is a very rarely used ship and the Eagle is almost profitable to reprocess than to actually fly in combat. How may I drug you with drugs?

Gallente ships are named after various deities, most of them from Greek mythology. Caldari ships are named after birds... with some exceptions. Amarr ships are named after terms that are religious in nature. Minmitar ships are named after various animals and weather events that denote power and/or destruction. Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinese demon (Tiangou), the tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey, and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics.
