So I have just started with PVP. I live in a WH and just do sites, but would like to kill other things now. I have max missle, and max engineering skills. I have been using a command ham drake, which does about 550dps, and has an ehp of 110k. My lowest res in shield is 81%, and it has 22k shields. I can't seem to kill much. I also got into with a proteus, and i couldn't kill it, but it didn't kill me. It was also hitting for about 550, which I though was hi for my shield res.
Any suggestions or comments? |

Do you have your drake fit? If you are going for HAMS you may want to fit scram/web instead of just a point. Drakes are pretty slow by themselves and without some good closerange tackle your target will just disengage and warp off/kill you. Your 110k ehp is of no use when you can't keep your target from running when he realizes he won't win. Drakes are not bad for pvp, but don't expect to kill a proteus with it (unless it's pve fit/a moron is flying it). Try going after other ships of your class or try to gank people that are running sites in c1/2/3 wh's. |

Yeah I'd have to agree on that. Winning fights is all about picking the right targets. The real problem for you is beating on the right kind of ships. Few other ships can kill you quickly, but you can't kill them quickly either so you'll need to scout well and know they don't have friends ready to come and kick your ass. Inside WHs, it's tricky to find people you can genuinely kill. The real 'prey' for drakes are ships that rely on HP over repair/regen for their tank because you can slowly wear them down. |
