Tried to create my own forum sig and it sucks, so looking for you guys out there to create one for me
Contest wil close on 10th July 2005 and I will pay 50mill for a unusual and well thought out sig.
Should there be two winners each will recieve 50mill.
You have plenty of choices to go for given my name, but please no Tom Cruise pictures on the sig
Prefer references maybe to his books (The Time Machine, War of the Worlds or others, see my bio for more info). Some witty comment on there would be good and would need two versions one with corp and one without.
The rest I leave to you, any questions convo or email me, I may also need help in how to actually host and use it.

I had some other ideas, but they would have required me to launch photoshop and actually do something...

MAcheTT3, I quite like the basic design but not too sure on the quote. Do like the character on right tho, also like to have a background but not too much in your face
Jatonix, like the design, sorry to hear you are leaving EvE but good luck with your endeavours.
Lets see some more competition guys!

The quote is actually one of HG Wells own, though I admit, I am having trouble finding a suitable quote... If you know of one, feel free to evemail me.

Found some qoutes here to HG Wells, 'adapt or perish' sounds pretty cool but most are very 'Victorian' I'll post some ideas here later after a beer.
It does not have to use a quote btw, I'm open to all designs..

Yeah, I saw the 'adapt or perish quote' too. I know you don't specify that the sig should contain a quote, it's just my idea, so post some quotes here if you want it to be used generally, or like I say, mail them to me and I'll use them as the basis of one design.

Heya! :)
Here are my entries:

It dosnt directly refer to those books, but it made me think of timemashines / war when i looked at it when it was done - reminds me of a timemashine because it is so .. wicked..? and abstract (atleast it dosnt look like anything), and it made me think of war because war have so many complicated aspects, and (in my opinion) so does the sig.
I made it that size, because i wanted to try something new, and so the sig would stand out when scrolling a thread :)
(also reason for color - it wont blend in with the background)
Its open to any changes anyways, and if you dont like then i can remake it :)
(seeing as you dont have all that many entries to choose between)

However, Mr Floppyknickers contribution is 120K bigger then allowed.
Perhaps if it was saved as something other then a BMP, it might help.

As cool as that is, it's worth mentioning that the Aliens from the H G Wells book were 'tripods' like in the newer movie and the only reason - so I understand it - that the 'saucer' Aliens were used in the original movie, is due to the fact that, at that time, 'tripod' Aliens would have been too difficult / costly to use.

Yeah, I know about the tripod guys, it just that the movie rocks. I only know about them because I have the Orsen wells brodcast as a MP3. Question: anyone know the name of the movie they did about that historic radio show? I saw it once but cannot think of the name, was an awesome show seeing how radio worked back in the day.
And here's a color version, but I've no eye for colors so don't blame me if your eyes tuck around the back of your head to hide from the clash on the screen.
