Discounting the T3 cruisers and exotic platforms If your char could only fly one ship what would it be and what would you do with it?
I would take a Myrm and head into lowsec scanning, ratting, plexing and hunting for lowsec PI and tower owners.
I like the Myrm because it is so versatile and affordable; With a 100mn MWD and cloak it can pull of the cloak/MWD with very good chances, you can run a passive shield tank if the rats have neuts, and thereGÇÖs plenty of cargo room with a few expanders.
Drones are a very slow primary weapon, but they donGÇÖt require ammo and they are very versatile. The rail gun buff has made that option more appealing. I have run artillery and lasers because I donGÇÖt like ammo but I keep coming back to rails for some reason.
I have always wanted to set my myrm up as a miner and see how it worked that way, with a mining link.
What would you fly?
This is a youtube playlist going over my first 30 ship losses. Video sucks but the audio came out well.There are some good lessons, and if you know the game there's some funny stories. |

I'd probably fly a nighthawk and gatecamp lowsec.
That said, if I could only ever have one ship I'd probably play another game.

Ferox... great slot layout, versatile, turret or launcher platform, Warfare Link modules if you want them.
Edit: curious how, with one exception, everyone has mentioned T2 ships (ignoring the T3 answer). In the last two days the only non-T1 ship I've seen in the Minnie FW front was a Wolf, and I was flying it. Says something there, no?
And +1 for the noob ship suggestion. :)

Pre-nerf Hurricane for all sorts of everything (PvP and PvE) if I had to choose a BC.

OP should have said "If you go T3, you have to pick the subs you'll use forever" instead of trying to exclude them.
I'd fly a covert combat T3. I'm favoring the Loki right now for its web bonus, but I like all of them.

I'd fly a Thrasher. It's a disposable cannon. I'd then fly in close to large ships and destroy them and keep pirates at bay while I do my best to avoid gate camps on my way to find a nice corner to hide in until I'm caught and obliterated.
Then I'd upgrade my new clone and do it all over again.

In that case sign me up for the Gnosis too. Although the resists make it a little dicey for the WH space work I would like to do in it.
