G.I. is an ever growing Amarr based mining/industrial corporation who is looking for players who get enjoyment exploring the market side of EVE. G.I. has one major goal: Make as much ISK as possible in a fun and stress free environment. We also have a secondary goal of helping new players get a leg up on their competition.
For the brand new EVE miner. So your in your Venture making a nice living, are you worried about being ganked, tired of hauling the ore? Were your answer. You'll love having an ORCA around, other mining ships with combat drones all over the place keeping you safe. It's a great place to learn and get that wallet fat until you get into your mining barge.
Are you tired of having to haul your own ore back and forth from the Asteroid Belts to the station, and then from the station to the system where you have enough standing to not lose 20% of it to refining waste or taxes? Are you tired of mining alone and having to always keeping a watch on who else warps into your belt to gank you? Are you frustrated with the lack of mining boosts holding you back from true riches?
We try to hold nightly Mining OPs with full Orca boosts and convenient hauling support, (real life permitting). Once you get back to station and the Mining OP is finished, all the ore gets refined using our perfect refining skills and reputation before being passed out according to what you actually mined.
So now that you have lots of minerals... What do you do with them?
You are in luck potential recruit! because we will buy them from you at the current Amarr prices so that you do not have to stress-out hauling all the minerals that you have mined under the full Orca boosts of the fleet.
Attendance is not a primary concern here in G.I. Gonna be late to the OP, you need to leave early or can't even make it at all tonight? No worries, we realize that having a life is important, even though it stems the flow of ISK.
Mining day-in and day-out bore you?
Never fear, because it bores us as well after a while. That is why we try to change things up, from time to time, by holding mission-running nights where everyone gets standing and those who participate in the battle get their share of the bounties. Do you like to salvage the wrecks hanging out there in space rather than fight hordes of enemies? We will also buy your salvage at competitive rates with little effort on your part.
What you should know:
*We have a Team Speak server, usage is not required but highly recommended. During Mining Ops corp chat is usually dead because we're all laughing it up in TS3.
* We are a US TZ based corp. Our ops usually start to form around 2300 and end around 0500 EVE time
*G.I. currently has no SP requirements for admission; however we do require that you have played for at least a week before application. This is really more for you than us, as it allows you to do all of your tutorial missions and have had the time to decide what it is that you wish to begin your EVE career doing. Mining isn't for everyone btw.
*Maturity is important to us. We desire individuals who take pride in their characters. If your name is Dr. Boner flying around in the "Free Candy Van" your probably not going to be accepted. There are exceptions to this, but infrequent and you must really impress upon us that you would be a good fit into our community.
*At the moment, everyone in G.I. speaks English, so the ability to at least understand English is mandatory. Fluency is not. We are a social corp and love to chat / talk to our fellow members.
*G.I. is not an "All or Nothing" corporation. If you have another character who enjoys PvP or Factional Warfare we are okay with that. That character will not be allowed into our corp as we wish to maintain low visibility. But as long as your alt miner doesn't bring any heat, we would love to have you.
*Once accepted, you will be expected to move to our current base of operations so that you can join into our Corp OPs.
*Lastly, we are not trying to do it all. We have clear goals and focused plans to get there that we make progress towards every day. Most of our members are primarily miners, industrialists, and missioners. If you're a new player wanting to experience all that EVE has to offer, that is great; however you would be better served looking for a home that is more suited to your play style.
We have no interest in recruiting the following individuals:
*Beggars: Once you join the corp, and get that first mining op under your belt, you will start to see the ISK flow in. My first night I was in a Tormentor and made almost 10m. Also don't expect to just walk in and be handed millions of ISK, we want players that are driven and dedicated to the advancement of their characters. Our veteran players have spent years among the stars and are more than happy to share their hard-won experience by answering your questions.
*Gankers / Griefers / Scammers: If you have ever participated in, or been seen doing any of these things you won't even be able to make your case, we will only wish you the best of luck in EVE. Somewhere else.
*Players with a PvP / Pirate focus / background: As stated earlier, we like things quiet in our little pocket of space, and don't want any heat on our mining ops because of peoples past.
