The Deathwalkers are pleased to announce our grand opening. As Eve's newest mercenary corp we know it's a long road to the top. Body Count, Guiding Hand, KIA, Sharks, all legends we idolize and a level we hope to someday reach.
As we're the new gang in town we're looking for our first client. We're not the biggest merc corp by any means but we have alot of heart. To build our reputation we're going to take on our first client for the war cost only. We know by serving our customers and brining a quality product to the table we'll earn the title of Mercenary one kill at a time. After a few contracts we'll reevaluate but for now its the war bill only as a fee.
Our primary specialization is the empire industrial corp. As we're small we're looking for clients who want that special mining or industrial corp terrorized and demoralized. Using the time honored techniques of espionage, infiltration, corp theft and pvp we'll work for you the customer to bring the mark to its knees. We're not satisfied until you are!
So if your not a billionare and can't afford the legends give us new mercs a try. If you like our work give us a good reference and help us build our reputation. Thats all we ask.

Hi Blacklight. Great question. Well there are three of us so far and we've all played Eve at least a year in other corps. We're friends who decided to try something different and this is it. We have plenty of ships and ammo so the only thing we really lack is longterm skill training. We all fly larger ships and are adept at combat although we've had to adapt a little not having some of the 15million skillpoint toys we used to have. We just got bored and rather then leave Eve totally decided to try something radically different.
We're embracing the new role 110% and are looking forward to our first client. As we're going after industrial targets rather then hardcore pvp ones due to our skillpoint situation we're willing to work for war fees only to start and ask for referrals if the client is satisfied with our work.

A class announcement, a cool sig and an open and honest reply to a good question by Blacklight. Your public relations are off to a good start at least! It's not an easy path to stay true to, but I've found it to be more rewarding and fun than anything else I've tried. Good luck to you guys! -

Just as long as you all aren't one of them so called merc corps that declare war on small and/or new corps and demand ransom on them. I don't even know why those types call themselfves mercs. Nothing merc about that its just lame.

Thank you Seleene coming from you thats a great compliment. Your corp is one we looked at as a model when we decided to setup Deathwalkers. As for the sig its the first time I've ever tried to make one and it was a real learning process. I'm very happy with the result though so I'll be making more for our corp.

Not at all Velic we're not going to ransom anyone. Stuff like that isn't the work of true mercenaries its more the work of extortionists. We want to earn the title of Mercenary by delivering a quality product to our clients.

Don't do corp theft. There's a difference between roleplaying mercs and actually hurting the people behind the characters.
Other than that gl and I hope your next few contracts are profitable

You know I was feeling a bit guilty about that after infiltrating our mark last night. Theyre actually really nice people who are having fun. Our war dec wont even be made for a week so I can cement my position. I wanted to emulate the likes of Body Count for the merc stuff and Guiding Hand for the utter corp destruction stuff. I must admit though the pangs of guilt have led me to ask my corpmates to reevaluate the corp theft part of our package. I think our compromise will be to take only a percentage of what is available thus not leaving a corp destitute. Playing a role as a mercenary shouldnt involve actually hurting people. I do see your point and I thank you for making it so well.

Nice post and I hope you all do well in the future it is not the easiest profession in the game by any means as you sometimes get larger corps hired back against you but if you never back down and always' fight to the end you are a true merc and no one can take that away from ya.
I once lost like 7 clones while we had a contract on a corp to sharks all in the course of about 10 minutes but with out being able to get to my bs's I had to undock in an ibis and well lets just say they dont do so well agaisnt crusiersfrigs and bs rofl. Have fun with it mate its only isk and you can always get more lol.

Edited by: Liberia on 08/07/2005 07:16:59 I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words and support. We're having fun so far and we haven't even blown anyone up yet! The infiltration of our mark has been successful and soon we'll be in position to strike. As discussed on the last page we're going to avoid the massive corp theft we originally planned as part of our package. Instead we'll limit ourselves to 50% or less of the marks assets so they're not left totally destitute. This way we can hurt them yet not totally break them too. We don't want to force anyone out of the game yet we have to do something to them. This is a good compromise. We should have a war declaration next week then the mayhem begins!

This isn't exactly going to be corptheft on a grand scale. If you'll read up we even agreed cleaning out a corp 100% isn't nice for the people behind the characters. Instead we've come up with an interesting solution that will be revealed when our first mark is exposed. You could say we're holding onto their stuff for safekeeping and they'll get some of it back later for a price (not always financial). As we're not big in numbers we're taking an approach like our hero Istvaan would in using other tactics to bring the corp to its knees. Don't forget part of Eve is the ability to be lowdown dirty and devious if you want!

It all sounds very good but i doubt youll get access to the corp wallet and last 2 hangars unless they decide to make you a director. Id suggest just find out where they all are and just simply blow every ship they have up thatll make em disband the corp more than likely.
I find no point messing around with trying to steal stuff and all that just go blow em up ---------------------------------------

It is a very hard task to start from scratch in this proffession. Many have tried and failed. But if you stay true to the path, you will in time gain respect and positive reputation. When that happens I can promise that you will have loads of fun.
Judging by your replies in this thread I think you have a promising future ahead of you. Good luck!

Aradon's right about that, and it's entirely wise for a corporation to operate like that. Jericho's own method is to only keep things in the corp hangars/wallet that we can afford to lose. That way if we are robbed, we might lose things on the order of Thorax bpcs, not things like our Zealot bpo...
In any case, good luck to the Deathwalkers, everyone I know who's in a merc corp agrees that it's a fun route to take.

Istvaan I'm not ashamed to admit your a legend among mercenaries. While we looked at Body Count in some respects and Seleene especially as a role model we also looked at GHSC as the epitome of corp destruction. What you did against UQS still leaves us in awe. While some may not agree with your tactics planning an operation for six months then executing it like clockwork is perhaps the finest demonstration of teamwork Eve has ever seen. Our current mark will probably run two to three months as our employer has been generous and supported our efforts. We're looking to make a name for ourselves and hopefully we will when its all done. GHSC showed what even a small corp can do with discipline and a great plan. We talk in teamspeak and everynight someone brings up what you guys did and how great it was. We don't view you as corp thiefs at all as some do rather we view you as incredibly effective mercenaries who cut the heart out of your mark. Well done!
So Istvaan we salute you and the GHSC and the MC and the rest of the fine mercs of Eve. You've given us something to work up to.

If Liberia keeps posting on the forums on a bi-daily basis you won't need to have a report after the corp is dead. Also if u keep posting as often as you do with as much detail don't you think the corp will eventually catch on. Don't get me wrong not every one in the world can be smart but there must be at least one or two amongst your "target" corp. Just don't release too much info on what you are doing they will catch on and you could possible ruin the fun you are having.

Wow. Thanks for the compliment. I'm a role model to aspiring evil people everywhere? Little kids with lunch money protection rackets look up to me!
Somewhere, in the shadows of the public school system, a new killer for hire is emerging from his or her shell!
Can I get a reality TV show now?? I'll be a great host. I'll do things like force Istvaan to run trade routes with frozen foods and then give the proceeds to charity! I'll have Chowdown mine ice for an hour while singing the FA National Anthem. Hardin can compose and read a sonnet explaining why the moons of Pator are divine.
The grand prize can be Oveur has to answer any three questions you ask of him without an evasive reply!
If it fails, I could just go back to killing people for money...

Our employer actually wants more information released. He's determined to ruin the corp in question. This is going to cut their heart out and we're not even going to leave them penniless.
He's approved whatever posts we see fit as long as the mark doesn't catch on. The earlier post asking about them catching on I can assure your they're as absent minded as they get. Every night in corp chat its another fight. I don't think they can read much less read these forums.
Either way with a couple thousand corps in Eve who knows where we are. We're not going to get rich off this but we're going to tear their heart out and leave them in pain. Thats all our client asks.

As mercs you are contracted to do as your client instructs. Earlier you posted about not taking all of their wallet. IF that is what is expected of you by your client then enough said. We have seen you go from excited to compassionate to heartless. I'm sure with an attitude like that then you will surely become one of the greats. Just a peice of advice to rub it in. Once your "target" Corp is decimated i'd refer them to this link so that they can see that they have been prey of several month of work and it was even publicized and they were to stupid to even know it. Well I for one want to gut them like a fish and toss them in the garbage when we're done with them. I'd prefer taking everything they own and leaving them one piece of trit and a bookmark that says Deathwalkers were here. The employer just wants them beaten up and disheartend.
