Any chance of getting to know how many jumps/how far we can move a dread if produced in 0.5 or above?
Problem is I already have a buckload of minerals a few jumps from low sec space. Wouldn't like having to move it all ;)

You cant jump to a 1.0-0.5, so you need to either make it in 0.4-0.0 or be in the closest system, and jump to a 0.4 system. but its a warning against it i think in dev blog, so it maybe not always work, seems its a limitation in distance for how long it can jump. remember, it dont use the common routes at all, i guess its based on a max warp distance.

Considering you can't jump into high-sec space, I don't think the devs would make it particularly possible to create them there... or at least, its difficult enough that you wouldn't want to do it. To be safe, create them in .4...thats all. Just use a freighter to bring the goods to your factory, and build :)
Although, if your freighter gets capped... ---

You could just build it in high sec and haul it out of the system in a freighter if it's too far to jump out to a .4.

if you read TomB's post he does say if you build a Dreadnaught in 0.5+ to make sure its close enough to 0.4 and below so you can jump out. I think he said something about not building one in Yulai as an example. This is more than a hint they can be builtin 0.5 and higher

Edited by: slip66 on 05/07/2005 00:40:01 edit: i was wrong. better hope you have enough fuel to make the jump into a .4 is all I guess.
