Been a long time, but Di-Tron has reached the 7 year anniversary mark.
As opposed to my normal BANLISH-WALL-O-TEXT I'll keep this short(er) then my normal posts. I was lucky enough to found this corp 7 years ago and other then a short 2 month stint where someone illegally stole the corp and tried to disband it for his own personal gain, I've been either CEO or 'the old man' of DTHI for all 7 years.
I couldn't ask for a better group of crazy rejects then my fellow Di-Tronners, and I can't wait to see what we do in this year for fun and shenanigans. We've fully dedicated ourselves to the TEST way of life with 'we don't give a crap' mentality of anything, we don't care about killboards, stats, what COLOR those killboards are, if you log on daily or not, it all doesn't matter anymore and my god has it become more fun. The corp has changed a metric ton in 7 years, we only have 3 of our founders left, but compared to most corps that's still pretty decent.
DTHI has fought all over the game in the 7 years, we've fought pretty much everyone, lead alliances, been part of alliances, been shown exactly HOW to lead an alliance and how NOT to. We've even seen how to and how to NOT lead a coalition, (thanks AAA! well deserved!) We've been shot at by tons of people and allies to many over the years.
And despite tons of wars and wars, we're thankful to EVERYONE who's shot at us or stood by us. At the very core of it all we realize that this is a game and it's been a great amount of fun for us over these last 7 years, thank you to the few people that have remembered this is coming and sent some well wishes.
To all old DTHI members not currnetly in corp, to 99% of you, if you'd like to return home, convo me or join our public channel Di-Tron and come home if you want.
To our allies over the past years from individuals all the way to our awesome mates in TEST, thanks for making this game freaking awesome and a great game with great friends.
To our enemies over the past years, thanks for keeping it interesting and a blast, from fighting our forever war against 90% of the Russians in game to seeing AAA reduced from a coalition to disbanding we've had some great fun and despite sometimes hating some of you at times, you are whats made us continue to log in and keep those fights going.
To current DTHI members, thanks, we've become more of a gamer group, a trend that I hope continues. You've made me want to keep playing year after year, month after month, day after day, time and time again. Despite loss, or win, or rich or poor, I've loved being here and being allowed to be part of leading this merry band of crazies.
Finally, to our directors and long term members, thank you for staying true to DTHI and the class act she's been. From Industry corp, to hardcore PVP corp, to a laid back gaming group many of you have put in the time and effort that has made DTHI what she is today. Thank you for making DTHI what it is today.
Thanks to everyone who reads my giant walls of text and how long they get and how often I fall back into the 'back in 07' or whatever Deckard Cain type of writing I make.
Here's to the next 7 years.

Big shout out to Charles for reminding me why noone comes to CAOD anymore. Mad props. Keep posting.
In our 7 years we:
1) Moved to Insmother and Wicked Creek, then got booted
2) Moved continually Southwest, until we got booted and...
3) Moved north to Deklein, until we got booted and...
4) Moved to drone space and formed Atlas, until we got booted, and
5) Retook Insmother and Wicked Creek, a la Step 1, until we got booted and
6) Moved continually southwest, a la Step 2.
It looked like Montolio was going to continue us into Step 3, but Shadoo stepped in and interrupted the cycle. I was really looking forward to getting back to drone space again....
It's been a fun 7 years. I've been in this corp longer than I've stayed at any job, or lived in any one house. You peoples in DTHI are why we keep logging in, year after year after year. Eve can be a *****, it can be wickedly fun or horrifically boring, but what keeps people playing is the people they get to play with.
Looking forward to 7 more years of corp chat and Jabber. |
