Well, I'm actually happier than before the patch. I like how they changed the map. Yay for eve & ccp. Please keep up the good work, maybe someday we might see lvl4 agents moved to 0.0 and instas removed. Yarr I guess.

I thought they did remove instas with this patch.. i havent tested it but they no longer worked on sisi before it was deployed on tq.

Really? Instas don't work anymore? That's odd. Oh well. In that case: WTS a copy of _my_ set of still fully working instas, price negotiable. :)

instas work, some of mine seem to be a couple of km out though.

Yep, instas still work. Though instas to and from gates that no longer exist aren't going to be hugely useful.

they know this so instas are going to stay.

Actually they aren't becuase the sheer volume of them is starting to have an effect on the servers that handle them given that there are thousands of players most with at least a few hundred if not ALOT more bookmarks and the number only gets higher.
The devs looking into solutions that strike a balance between fast travel and being able to insta dock/jump.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |

I have thousands of bookmarks and am down to 3 characters so somewhere in the range of 20k in bm's////
I guess it is me lagging the servers....

LOL...that is about the LAMEST excuse for getting rid of instas. I don't know who started it, but its total crap, and you know it. If CCP started the rumor then they are just searching for some legitamate excuse for even thinking about tossing em. I mean...there is a GI-Billion items in this game...but...that can't be lagggin the servers...oh NO! 
If CCP wanted to limit the number of instas per character, then I'd agree on that.

Maybe CCP are seeing how the extra jumps due to taking the highways out effect the game. My personal opinion is to leave them in.

The reasons some of your instas aren't working are:
1: The gate no longer exists
2: CCP increased the size of each star system.
This second was kinda tricky because I don't remember seeing it in any blog, but you can now travel 120au toward a gate and still not reach it from another gate. Before, this was a rarity, but now it's really common.
So when the systems expanded, your instas were dragged proportionately, between 4 and 15km from their original spot.
Kinda sucks for pirates too. I used to be able to sensor sweep a small system like Keri regardless of my position, now I have to do more flying around to kill you :). "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

I do my best to make a few hundred useless new BMs every day in systems I don't visit, along with the useful ones.
It's not just gate campers that want instas gone. I don't labor needlessly under a good/bad, or carebear/pirate paradigm. Everyone is a griefer, but with revolving daily preferences in style.
