OMG you've got to be kidding me. How many relevant discussion threads have scrolled off the forums and been lost amongst 5000 people postign a new thread to whine about the missile changes. How many times do we have to answer them with "Now you are in the same boat gun users are in" and "just train up the missile skills for about 24hrs and you will be fine"
How many different complaint threads about missiles do we need? Please sign this petition if you would like to see the forum moderators lock new missile whine threads and consolidate that discussion.

I really don't see any whining. What I see is outrage. It's far more substantial than whining.
It far surpasses anything that happened at the mega-pulse nerf. The hybrid nerf. The any-other-nerf.
Clearly, this patch has ruined the enjoyment of a substantial number of people who pay to play this game. And they are expressing their feelings about it.
And frankly, I deeply resent all the people who are dismissing the expression of my heartfelt feelings as "whining."

IsnÆt it funny how practically every one at one time or another is going to whine about either being weak already or being weakened in the future patch, but no matter what flavor of the month is being weakened, the very same type of people are in here saying the nerf-targets deserve whatever nerfing they are getting. Apparently, everything needs to be nerfed, because there are ALWAYS people to say that ôXYZö thing getting nerfed needs to be so.
Frankly, the people whining are one hell of a lot better than any of you people griefing them and trolling the boards telling them to be quiet.
All those telling them to be quiet seem awfully eager to silence them and move on to other things, suspiciously so even, almost as if they have a vested interest in ensuring that complaints about changes arenÆt heard. Hmmmmà now what could possibly motivate a group to want to silence grievances with current, or future, changes to the system.
WhatÆs even more curious is that EVERY SINGLE PERSON HERE BAR NONE and completely regardless of your position has the right, and even the duty to speak up if something doesnÆt work out in the wash. If something isnÆt right, then something needs to be said about it, and ANYONE asking to take away anotherÆs ability to speak out about issues with the game is a TROLL! ThereÆs nothing else to it, if you want to silence anyoneÆs freedom to at least express their distaste for something (regardless of your stance for or against it) then you are a worthless troll and YOU should be silenced.
If you are against their stance, then pose your case, but donÆt be a troll and demand they be quiet. If you canÆt support your side, then donÆt troll the opposition either argue your case or be quiet, but telling someone to be quiet or you asking to have CCP silence them is nothing but trolling and showing how pitiful your stance is if you apparently have nothing to say in your defense and you simply want to have your opponent muted.

Uhh, they could keep it to one thread and most of us would be happy. Missiles were the biggest thing that needed a nerfing and has been for a long long time, and most people knew it, and we were warned it was comming and told the deatils of how it'd be implemented, and a complaint thread started then... go back and post in that one instead of making a new "OMGNERF" post every 30 minutes. THAT is what is ****ing people off. We GET that you don't like it, keep it to one thread!!!

I think that everyone should be able to voice their opinion. If you consider it a whine, someone else will consider it a valid point. You have the right to run this thread(or at least post what you want within the limits of the rules). Therefore, I salute your premise, and utterly disagree with what you are saying.
Some people have lost big time with the patch. I myself have already suffered losses, which I will recover and adapt to, but please, with real respect, and cool comments, these threads can be a great help to the community.

The facts speak for themselves, missiles are more powerful than ever after this patch. Those here whining about the changes are the ones who simply cannot comprehend this. The only people who have actually experienced any kind of nerf are the ones with kestrels and crows which have fitting problems post patch. Everyone else is whining over what actually amounts to a significant boost if they woke up and trained the new skills a bit.

Some one is ALWAYS going to be on top, some one ALWAYS has to be, that is a FACT.
Just give me 30 days to get all these skills up to 4 and see what kind of damage im doing with missiles, i BET there is going to be more than a few "OMGWTF" posts about how uber the raven is and how it's unfair and should be nerfed again.

I am against "signing" anything and if for nothing other than lowering the s/n ratio here, I'll do it.

Every game is like this. The power-gamers want their uber-squashomatik device or ship or bonus skill or whatever to do the work for them. They whine like kicked puppies if you get rid of anything. And yet, every game that has excised or made it uncomfortable for them has come out much better for the 90% of the population that doesn't resort cheap tricks(especially since all you have to do is lazily sit back and "train" to get almost any skill in EVE)

On the contrary, I submit that Crows, kestrels and other missile shooting frigate and inty has gained from this.
It is true the power grid has gone up on the launchers. But it is an acceptable price to pay for what they have gained, not just in having more skills to work from now, but due to the fundamental nature that small missiles are now 3X faster than they once were, which also greatly extended their range and shortened their killing time.
Small missiles have not LOST any of their damage since they were from the beginning, perfectly matched against the sig radius of their intended enemies---other frigates and interceptors. The penalties only occur when heavy and large missiles hit small targets, but not small missiles against small targets. Much like small and large turrets against small targets.
I look out my Malediction (which had EMP damage bonuses on missiles) against a rogue drone spawn and was hitting small rogue drones for over a 100 damage, you know the ones trying to buzz you and warp scramble you. I came out impressed that small missiles are much more effective they are before, enough to make the missiles the primary weapon for my Malediction instead of the lasers.

I think alot of you are missing the point. If you want to state your "heartfelt" opinion as one poster put it, that's fine. What is being asked for in this thread is for this type of discussion be moved to a central location, so it does not swamp the entire forum and make difficult to do anything other than describe the missile changes.
The Devs can still gauge a reaction from a single thread, by the fact that the thread is 50 pages long of agreement.
Enough is enough, I respect everyone's opinion about the missile changes but I dont check the forums for that sole purpose.
