I am the CEO of a corporation, and I set the tax rate to 5%. I was assuming that 5% of every income every player gets would go to the corporation, but that doesn't seem to be the case. For a while, NO taxes were being collected. Just recently, I saw some tax some in from one of our members, for a mission reward. It was about 2000 ISK.
So now I'm totally confused. Can anyone explain to me how the corporate tax system works? What it taxes, and if there is a minimum reward amount that can be taxed? Thanks in advance.

well after this patch it seems to be working :)
My corp tax is set at 5.0% and its taking 5K off 50K rats that my members are killing. i have'nt seen any sales tax yet..... but that maybe coz we are'nt selling anything yet.
But it seems to be working for me, although:
it does'nt seem to take the tax instantly, only after 15 - 20 mins after the kill does the money hit the corp :?
hope this helps, BetaZ

i thought the tax worked by only taxing missions, bountys and sell orders over a certain amount of isk.

So far only taxes on NPC bounties and mission rewards seem to work. Taxes on market transactions do not seem to work at present.
I think it will stay like this for a while. Problem that many traders face is that a 10 percent corp tax will literally destroy any margin they had in the first place.
e.g. consider hauling 10m worth of trade goods from A; selling them at 11m a jump away at B. 1m is a fair play for a 1 jump haul. If the tax would have been at 10 percent, however, the trader would have lost 100k on doing it.
Only way to incorporate fair tax for traders in corps is to take into account expenditure; i.e. tax only profit. Otherwise it'd destroy a lot of the game for some players.
Either
(a) Tax player profits, e.g. weekly or monthly; or
(b) Give tax options, for example 10 percent for npc bounty / mission reward; and ability to set trade transactions at 1 percent.

Hmmmm,
Just set up a Corp to see what it's all about and wondering about the tax myself.
The CEO, me, seems to be taxed okay - but not the other member! I'm sure that isn't right.......
