Ok, so gambling....i'm sure most of us at some point have tried it? wanted to see if that horse could make you a quick bit of cash? It's only a pound/dollar/euro, but it could make me a million....? What about Introducing forms of gambling, legal and ilegal. Like....Destrcution Derby type competitions, having a set system with set times for the fights and rules, ship/weapon classes to fight against each other for money, with no risk of being podded? All for a bit of cash to fight, or to gamble on the fighters? It's just an idea, and i haven't checked the rest of these forum pages to see if the idea has been thought of yet....so i apologise in advance if it's been brought up. If not, you heard it here first :) Something for the Eve Crew to think about, it would be a serious money spinner, for someone down on his luck, or it could make a name for pilots.....the eve community need some form of entertainment, and races/scheduled legitimate fights i would like to see :)

I've often promoted the idea of casinos and boosters, so that I can spend my time in EVE getting high and gambling. It'd beat any of the other purported activities in this game.

In beta there was a button in some stations for "gambling", but I don't think it was ever implemented during beta-- then taken out all together by release. I heard it's being implemented soon though, so lets see what happens~

Ok, so i thought a little more about my idea....and i guess the actual term i was looking for was " Prize Fighting ". Working the same way Boxers/martial artists fight, In a controlled situation, similar aspects to boxing with the weight class( ship class ) nobody can be podded, just a ship destroyed for the prize money. I guess....like having Stadiums as it were where you can go to view the fight, or make bets.....which opens more doors for managers training up Prize Fighters, which gives more options to the path you can take, and at the moment you're pretty much either a miner or you kill pirates, or you're a pirate. I'm quite interested in having a strong ship that can take care of our gang, and given the option to put it against other ships to prove i'm stronger....or to just make millins of isk for kicking some ass. Either way it would make things alot more interesting, exciting with no fears of unfair PvP gate camping. I'd like to hear some feedback on the idea, know what people think or any other ideas to go along with it. Thanks for your time :) |

What would make prize fighting even cooler is if they broadcast it to the billboards or had a camera broadcasted to stations where you could watch for some isk.

Nice idea.
I'd like also the ability to stablish 'normal' gambling spots on the stations... spots that'd actually be run by the players. (the owner could perhaps adjust how 'honest' their business is, set the stakes and so on.)
