(Ramble mode on) All I have seen is people moaning about the new patch. Yeah a lot has changed, stop moaning and start adapting. What would be nice is to see some thank you's to CCP for the work they have done and hope they will get any bugs remaining sorted in a timely manner. Yes I do think maybe some more beta testers are needed as a lot of bugs have slipped through the net and I will be playing on the test server when the next major patch comes out to do my bit to bug test. Some CCP response would be nice as to why so many bugs are being found, whether it is they didnt appear until on the loaded server or whether they were just missed on the test server. Or whether changes to fix one bug silently caused another?
Anyway to round it off I would like to say thank you to CCP and the volunteers for Cold War edition it does look very promising update once the bugs are hotfixed out and I for one am very excited about the new content and skills. Its good to be forced into adapting to new situations and new setups otherwise you get too comfortable and then you get bored and wander off...
Thanks
Starfury (Ramble mode off)

Footnote: I am not referring to the people just posting bugs and problems on here but the ones complaining that the patch is crap and that its the worst thing ever, etc....

I agree, maybe if the people that are complaining about bugs had bothered to take some time out and take a run on the test server you could have found these problems before the official release of the patch.
Large patches are always going to have a few bugs in its just part of life, IĈm sure the CCP with sort these issues out before long, in the mean time enjoy all the new mods and ships that have been added and look on the bright side.

My biggest gripe with the patch is the level of detail addition. When an object goes over 30km or so it turns into a pixel. Now this wouldn't be so bad, if it were done more gradually. But you go from a ship to a pixel far to early. Whole asteroid fields disappear into little black pixels making them very hard to see. This feature needs to be reworked. The game ran fine for me before the patch. Now I get to see a bunch of pixels flying about at 30km.

I agree Mr. Shang -
I do like the dynamic situation that the patch has put people in (closing of old highways, opening new ones yada yada) - it was great seeing everyone moving about trying to figure how to get from point a to point b through point z :).
The only thing that kinda ruins the feeling for me is the level of detail mentioned above. It is just kinda silly seeing cans pop in and out of view. It would be nice if they allowed the client side to adjust the LOD (but then again, I'm no programer, and don't know if this is even possible with Eve-Online.)

there were hundreds of posts of bug reports from sisi before the patch went live - 99% of them the exact same complaints.
