The big problem- I just started a new corporation... And I have been looking for an office. My search took place hours ago, and i have been searching for one for over 3 hours now. Not a single office open. How is a new corporation supposed to advance, if we cant find any offices to rent? (This is a problem for both recruitment, and the need for corporate hangars) What i have noticed, is corporations have rented far more than they need. Each corporation in eve, on average, probably has 10 offices they dont use. -- This was the same problem with factory slots, people/corporations were buying all of them up, and not letting anyone else use them. This puts out the compition. People were also selling factory slots for 20x what they were worth. Now, offices are selling for the same ammount. Why not double the ammount of offices, or add some restrictions to them like you did with the factory slots CCP? --
Need help- As you can see, i didnt know where i could write this... Is there a place i can give suggestions that the devs will actually see? Thanks, stilgar:)

You can go to patch review area of the forum, if you¦re lucky your post will be read. Actually though, the office issue has been addressed quite some times here. And only btw, offices can¦t be unrented. So the lack of office space is mainly caused by ppl advancing with their corporations, leaving old offices abandoned behind with no chance of opening them, even if they would like to. This definetely has to be changed. ____________________________________

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately there is no way for a corp to "unrent" their office aside from disbanding the corp and making a new one. What corp would do that? Don't expect any offices to open up that way.
My only suggestion to you if your aren't happy with your current office is to disband your corp and remake it in a station of your choosing. Even if the station is full you still get an office there.
I hope that helps. Maybe CCP will have a fix from this problem some day? ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

I finally found an office in the absolute last station I wanted an office in: Thukker Tribe Mix. I did not want an office there, despite there being open labs and factories for the simple reason I'm positive one day CCP will activate factions/station sentry guns.
And my -6.5 to the Thukker Tribe for wasting angels will mean being cut off from the office. But it's the lesser of two evils at the moment.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

No, you get a HQ but no offices when you start a corp. That means no access to a corp hangar nor access to corp functionality with labs or factories.

Try the Devoid Region. Seems that a few offices are available here and there. I would start in the Akes solarsystem and work my way out. Hopefully you have some luck. ------------------------------------- Interm-CEO for EVE Marshals http://www.EVEMarshals.com |

Yup- HQ's dont include corp hangars. Corporate hangars might not seem like the best thing in the world, but when you dont have them, planning and organizing your corporation is very very difficult.
So I guess my question now is... Why shouldn't I get an equal oportuninity to start, and advance my corporation? CCP needs to fix this issue, and soon. If they left it the way it is now, they are leaving out alot of what the game is about.
So we all agree this is a problem...How can CCP fix it? And will they?

Stilgar, I find this odd since I have found many locations where office can still be rented. I also find it amusing how you quote people selling factory slots, when you yourself used to do that very same thing, for very large profits. Look around. Office locations abound. or are you trying to find locations in the most secure areas.

I on the other hand have not found many stations where offices can be rented. I've been in several un-named regions on the fringes of the universe, visited every single station in them and not a single office space open.
I've once found an office space 3 jumps from a starting system in a large (100+ au) dead-end system. Seems it's out of space now.
Where is all the easy office space?

Has anyone tried the Devoid Region of the Amarr Empire. It's backwater and out of the way, but it works. Plus...there are so few Corps there, I don't see how all the stations can be full. ------------------------------------- Interm-CEO for EVE Marshals http://www.EVEMarshals.com |

Additional office spaces will be available in a couple of weeks. They are being included in one of the upcoming patches.

Thank you pann.
As for Viper- I was not complaining about people selling factory slots for way more than what they paid for them, i even did this. Can you sell factory slots for that much now viper? No, you cant. Because there are 2x as many, and you cant hoard 10x as many as you use. I am only suggesting more offices be put into the game. It is an office, yes, like a room in a giant skyskraper. Why cant we have thousands of them in each station?:)

I've found that in general, it isn't too hard to find office space in .6-.7 and below, no matter where.
.8 is tough.
.9 is damn near impossible.
And please stay out of Devoid. I like how quiet it is down here. :)
Devoid is not a good place for an inexperienced corp. There are no safe routes in or out of the region, and there isn't much on the market.

I was approached by Stilgar during his efforts to acquire an office. What he fails to mention is that the location he is looking for an office is in the same constellation as one of the systems where new players are spawned. This is prime real-estate. Of course it will be difficult to find space. As it should be.
As in any newly settled place, the prime real-estate will be bought up first. "Go west, young man", hit the frontiers. Eve is designed to be played over the course of years, not weeks or months. What is borderland now, will one day be a prime location, & what is prime now, will likely one day be a slum ;)
I do not think that office-space should be unlimited. To do that would not encourage outward growth. I am not at all opposed to a larger rent fee for existing offices, but before that can be done, we must be given an option to cancel existing lease agreements.
I do think that an HQ should automatically create an office lease agreement, however I don't think that you should be able to create a HQ [ create corp ] at a station unless there is office space available at that station.
But then again, this is just my opinion, & opinions are like *******s... everybody's got one.
