Orca has plenty of room for all your failed human and animal DNA cross-breeding experiments can roam around freely. Their wailing about how they are "still human" will be out of ear shot most of the time so it won't annoy you. |

I Cloaky T3. It has enough tank to survive the average gank and has enough cargo to move bpo's and salvage components around. Why i play EVE:-á20% for gameplay experience, 30% for the social aspect and 50% because of CCPGÇÖs empty promises.-á |

In star trek online scientist use science ships, (logistics and support) in eve here no science specialisation sadly, i know that STO is pve focused game but i like few things in sto like clases which give players true feeling that they they got some specialisations depend clases, also i like projects which people worked on them to get spetial bonuses. EvE isn't game, its style of living. |

What does a scientist actually do in EVE? I never saw that as a profession option. Just as a random skill. Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off." |

Scientists should fly noobships. There is nothing noobships cant do. And being a scientist, that means youre broke...and nobships are free..so they are in your price range. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

I am just having one of those "Oh sh*t"-moments..when you are finally getting a joke that you heard years ago.
Players with a penchant for Latin have repeatedly noted in here that "Noctis" is wrong, since it is genitive- the ship should be called "Nox".
But now when I read the name of the other ship that shares the same hull, I finally got the joke:
Primae Noctis...as in Ius Primae Noctis.
Bricks were shat.

Zimmy Zeta wrote:Inventor here. All cool inventors fly Blockade Runners to get their BPs to lowsec installations, pick up datacores or purchase moongoo. So that would be a Prowler in your case. Also, its may be something of LOL-RP, but I really like to fly every ship /module that I produce. It's like product testing. The fittings that work best for me usually work for other people, too, so it gives me an idea which modules to invent and manufacture to sell them with the hulls. Remind me not to buy rigs from you. |

Magnate most of the time, because it moves between POS arrays quickly. Itty V to transport materials from station to POS. Viator for the odd BPO I need to move (and for some reason don't want to send via courier).
Add in charon or the gallante freighter because you may have to haul mods to market. |

Fast travel between regions:
- Anathema with T2 warp speed rigs, 21.1au/s ( 24.9au with 18% HW implant)
Low sec / Null:
- Blockade runner
Moving billions worth of BPOs from A to B:
- T3 tanked & ready to engage or avoid ganks / Cloaky sub is a good option
For roleplaying scientist stuff:
- Echelon friggy, little green thing with spinny radar dish and other crazy science stuff tacked onto it. |

That's what Courier contracts are for. My setup is a fair distance from Jita, and I'd have to make about 230 runs to break even buying a freighter over using Couriers, and that's assuming that my time is worth nothing and that there is 0 risk of loss. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Red Frog Freight Services are your go-to for hauling services. My corp uses them to move stuff from our manufacturies. The only transport we do is from the W-Space to K-Space. Red Frog does the rest. Saves time, is very efficient.

Red Frog, Push Industries, Haulers Channel all work well and have different prices.
Red Frog is usually the most expensive of the three. Hauler's Channel isn't always cheapest, but it's almost always the cheapest for rush orders or high collateral. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Fair points. Red Frog has always done a fine job for us - never a default, never a loss. Agreed that tthere are other fine hauling services, each with selling points in their favor.
*shrug* We stick with a known provider who has a solid history with us. You milage may well vary. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Proper collateralization means that I really don't care whether my package arrives or not. In fact, it not arriving means I get ~10-20% extra profit and don't have to go through the effort of selling anything.
But to each their own, and each option definitely has differences in delivery time. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Agreed that collateralization means no *financial* loss. Still, if you're looking for certain components to show up in a certain place, and they don't, that's annoying.
Anyway, I guess the bottom line is that a scientist or industrialist need not worry abuot making their own deliveries, unless it pleases them to do so. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

A real one will fly a shield Vindicator with slave implants and a DCU II, Off grid boosting, Falcon alt/s and of course someone to remote rep and of course eventually another alt.
A good scientist will also have a good market bot and will be playing 0.01isk games off line while his ratting offline Tengu and Skiffs and filling his wallet for about 12h/day -just in case someone notices
The very good scientist does not play the game, no need when GD is there to know everything there is to know, amIrite?
