How about this for an idea...re-opening the eVegate, but instead of it leading back to earth it malfuctions and opens up to a new galaxy. One that is populated by a hostile race, like the BORG or G'Uold (Spelt wrong but from Stargate). The race discovers the gate, and all out interglactic war starts, you could have agent missions to destroy an outpost and stuff like that...it could effect everyone right down to the poorest miner
What do you people think?

feels bit like a last gasp idea, sorry :/
i think that basically, we should just keep trotting along for a while, with (relatively) small but interesting new tidbits, then they can smack us with the full force of the next major patch :D

i am not saying do it now, it was just an idea that came into my head, would be interesting, not knowing if all of a sudden you thought your base was coming under attack but a vastly superior foce...would add a nice twist to the game, hearing of small outposts being blown up etc, you wouldn't even not to be infomed that the gate had been repoened...in fact thinking of it you wouldn't even have to re-open the gate, maybe they just really bad *******s who want to invade........something could be done....small attack forces for a bit sniping at targets
think about it, would add a lot to a already great game

i think we got enuf chance for apocalypse with vitoc and the assassination, personally. that, mixed with dreadnoughts seems a sure-fire way to firey death ;)

Not sure about this idea but i would like to see something that involves the eve-gate, would make a nice event :)

Something like an new gate opens up somewhere, we send probes in and see hostile alien forces mounting a attacking so we all have to put aside our wars to join together to destroy this gate which has more armour points than 10 poses or something outragous.
It is not the path we chose but the direction in which we chose to travel upon it.
