Greetings friends and enemies,
There comes a time in every sentient being's life when they reach a crossroads and must take a stand on an important question; Who am I, and what do I stand for? If you had asked me even 2 weeks ago, I would not have been able to give you an answer. I was an incomplete person, living for the moment, chasing after the next thrill, and living the unexamined life in darkness away from God. I was a soul in rebellion against civilization and against the Light. The flames of this rebellion, started in my youth and fanned by Gallentean propaganda, are what led me to leave my position at Stoic Assembly Lines and enlist with a corporation in the Minmatar Militia. It was the beginning of a downward spiral; it was not long before I was influenced by them into stealing and committing illegal acts of aggression and piracy. They endorsed and even encouraged these actions - even against their own people, civilians and militia alike. I fell for their rhetoric and thought I was a "freedom fighter". I saw in the Matari people kindred spirits to my Caldari soul - a history of oppression, tribulation, and being driven from their homeland. I came to respect the Minmatar and their fight became my own.
Little did I know that while I screamed the call of freedom, I was actually fighting for the true enslavement of the Matari people; their enslavement to a Republic that cannot support them - a Republic that cannot provide their people with even the most basic of necessities; food, water, clothing, shelter, not to mention meaningful employment and education. I was fighting for their enslavement to poverty and darkness. In the end, the Minmatar and the Caldari share one difference; in the face of adversity, the Caldari have flourished. The Minmatar, instead, have found reason in their hardships to descend into animal anarchy and chaos. I now know why the Amarr are fighting so desperately to bring the Matari back into the fold; to save them from themselves. The Matari are an incomplete people, and only the Light of Our Lord God can restore their souls.
This became all too clear to me when my closest comrades in arms betrayed me and cast me to the wolves.
It was then that the God of Amarr came to me in a vision, and bid me read the Scriptures and to fight in His holy crusade. An Amarr proselytizer inspired me to visit the Throne Worlds to see the truth for myself. Though I was once a member of Minmatar Militia, I was not met with distrust or hatred. The Amarrian priests welcomed me with open arms, and told me they had been waiting for me. They sat me down and informed me that, though I had sinned, I was part of a bigger purpose, and that my role was one of glory and succor - that I would be part of the Reclaiming of New Eden. Lo, I am responsible for turning many Matari away from the Light. These were sins that I committed, but it was the path that God set me upon so that I may learn the truth, hear His Word, and find my way to Him. And now I see the Truth and the Glory and the Light of the Lord God, and I know that, with His strength steeling my heart and the gift of immortality that He has granted me, I will make right the wrongs I have committed and help lead the Amarr to their rightful victory.

Oh, don't be so hard on her, Brother! Every time there's a big swing in the Empyrean war front there's just oodles of sudden conversions.
I suspect when things swing the other way on another front we'll hear all about capsuleer conversions to Democracy or Tribalism.

Propagandized ideas and... questionable claims aside - in my poinion - good luck in your new path.
You have apparently betrayed once. Now you officially declare your new alligience. I would advice you to stay to this path and not stray from it. Your integrity is questionable, right now. With hard work and dedication, you may earn the trust of your new allies.
Here is some free advice for you: stay put in your new faction and don't stray again. A Capsuleers greatest asset is their reputation and integrity; yours is flawed - now - but can be repaired.

Mekhana - have you considered that, when you insult an Imperial's whole reality, you are no better than when that same Imperial tells you your beliefs and way of life is inferior and that you should be enslaved for your own good?
Be the better person - let them believe what they please, and save the chastising for more worthy targets.

This is not the propper path. My race was enslaved for generations to find God and you claim you can find your place in the Empire just by yourself. And doing this after leaving the Caldari to join the enemy militia, and abandoning them to swap sides. As glad as I'm always to see capsuleers to arrive to the Imperial banner, you surely can understand I deeply distrust this situation.
But time will give you plenty of chance to prove your commitment. And I really wish you can prove my distrust to be wrong. I really do. But there's a long way before such a thing can happen.
