Having just treated my self to this pride of the Gallente fleet I was more than a little disappointed to see that the damage mod on my 425 rails was exactly the same as on my Mega - ie not been lifted by the 25% L Hybrid bonus this ship is meant to have
I know it might be a long shot, but any other Vindicator owners got this problem?

Do you have Gallente Battleship 5? Are you using a damage mod on your Mega?

Hi there
Yeah I have Gallente and Minny BS V. Using 2 x Mag Field 2s which is the same as I had on my Mega. Used the extra mid for a Target Painter 2
Are there hidden nerfs?

I don't see what the problem is.
With a Megathron, you get 5% damage bonus per level of Gallente BS skill, so if you have it at level 5, that's 25% bonus, as you know.
With a Vindicator, you get this 25% bonus no matter your level of Gallente BS skill, and you get other bonuses for your level with Gallente and Minmatar BS skills.
The way I see it, the damage mod SHOULD be the same as on your Megathron, since you have BS 5. It would be lower on your Megathron if you didn't have BS 5, though.
Am I overlooking something?

The Megathron gives a 25% damage bonus to large hybrids if you have Gallente BS lvl 5 so the damage mod should be the same on both ships.

Think there was something in the patch notes about that. The damage bonus was replaced with a tracking bonus.

It does? Not according to EVE-I, but I don't have a Vindicator handy in game to check if EVE-I and in-game stats are the same.

Okay - maybe my expectations were a bit too high....
Seeing as most BS pilots would have level 4 or 5 trained already, I would have hoped that the 'Special' bonus would have been on top of that available to the standard Mega.
So the only real extra bonus is the reduction in MWD cap requirements? Seems a bit mean spirited on a ship of that price.
Still a lovely ship
By the way - any other suggestions for the extra mid slot....an extra slot actually makes the crippling CPU even worse lol

The ship gets the same bonus as the mega plus the mwd bonus from the minmatar battleship skill, it¦s not very hard to understand really?

Well Id certainly say they could have worded the special bonus description better as its easy to misintepret IMHO,
