Edited by: Dark Shikari2 on 10/07/2005 23:09:33 Every COSMOS item BPC that my friends doing COSMOS have shown me have been complete BS. There are some that are decent--but none that seem worth the hassle of training all these level 5 skills and finding these new skills, along with scooping up 15 different faction components Earth and Beyond style, to combine to make these new items.
Has anyone found any of these that are useful enough to justify the training and massive hassle?
Edit: Goddamn alt.

Wouldn't it be a lot more interesting if the items dropped were completely new items that had completely new effects? Like, say, a low slot mod that does +20% to warp scrambler range, but requires a ton of different rare components to build. That would make things worth it. --

Edited by: Rod Blaine on 10/07/2005 23:42:26 Of course they suck. They are found in empire without any real effort.... hence they must suck to be balanced ...
You'll the better stuff come in later, when there's some experience with how cosmos areas turn out and when there's cosmos in low sec space too. _______________________________________________

/points to level 4 missions dropping 425mm protos and 1400mm scouts //points to the fact that level 4 missions have no special skills required, and don't require spawncamping for hours on end
Though cosmos in low sec and deep space would be interesting. --

Well, the current cosmos missions are comaprable to lvl 2 and 3, and have the reward at the spawn point some of the time, which is static.
Farming ftw if those items would be remotely worth it.
So they are not.
Once they get to low sec space where there is actual risk involved, they might get worth it. _______________________________________________

Besides, I think people have somewhat forgotten that COSMOS is really in it's infant stage, and thus cannot be perfectly balanced in regards to loot. Since when in EVE's life has something been *perfect* from the start?

Maybe it's more about the story and atmosphere rather than the loot.
