Embattle	Posted - 2005.07.11 20:08:00 - [1] Can someone tell me what the various difficulty levels mean in terms of what ships you can take in and how the various levels compare with agent missions?

HippoKing	Posted - 2005.07.12 17:36:00 - [3] not sure if there is a direct comparison about this cos of the limits on ship size - complexes are really meant for groups i think i reckon that 5/10s are pretty much equivalent to the bigger lvl4s, and 4/10s to lvl3 extravs 2/10 is a hard lvl2 mission i think (but u can't use a cruiser ) never done a 3/10 but i am assuming they are equivalent to easier lvl3s

capt	Posted - 2005.07.13 08:41:00 - [9] Yes you can do a lot of them solo. Difficulty ranges from 1/10 to 10/10. And I don't have any problems whatsoever doing the 1/10-4/10s solo. I haven't tried any complex above 4/10 so I can't really comment on them; but I suspect you can solo 5/10-6/10 with a BS. Any higher than 6/10 would require backup.

thebold	Posted - 2005.07.13 10:42:00 - [11] 4/10 complexs can be done in a solo taranis, 5/10's in HAC's Pre Patch the 7/10 Angels plex used to be done nearly solo to the last level. This issue is not the difficulty of killing the ships inside meerly the boss's CCP put in the plex's to force people to go in teams to kill the boss's instead the NPC's on each level.. Also i have heard the last level of the 8/10 Doom Torps damage has been drasticly reduced from 1800 to 800. 1/10 now drop Faction Frig BPC's, 5/10's Cruiser 7+/10's BS > CR > Loot named to factions and Better overseers... But people don't do plex's for the bounties these days... and empire plex's are far to overcrowded even though you could do a 1/10 in a ibis of doom. ============================================== We do the Blowing up thingy

Some 4/10s can not be solo'd in battleships. My deimos outtanks a battleship hands down and it had trouble with a 4/10 Monestary. Msotly that it couldn't kill things quickly enough, to be honest. The tank was solid for the most part. i think this thing is rated too low, to be honest. 5/10 seem to require more than one ship, simple as that. I know some secret 5/10s and I can't solo them in my Deimos, I have to have my two buddies in battleships for backup. You see, to tank the damage I need to, I need to have a large remote armour repairer on a friend on standby in case things heat up and I can't deal the damage required to take down the enemies on my own, either. Given that I can tank better than an Apoc, I don't think a BS could solo a 5/10. Get a few BS and it'll be a breeze.

Yeah, those are insane, they have like 4 tach batterys in the 2nd state which isntantly snipe you when you get in, its nuts trying to tank those.

I tried doing a 4/10 monestary one. I could do the first bit ok, tho the gatekeeper was a bit difficult. The sound area was a no-go. 20+ cruisers all shooting at me. Also did the same complex with a few friends, didn't get any worth while loot, altho that was a while ago. Regards elFarto
Kel Gunrunner	Posted - 2005.07.26 10:17:00 - [21] Iv done a few 6/10 complexes, u need a few bs for those around 5 guys. u fit 1 with lots of hardeners etc and then evryone else fits remote repairs, then u let the tank agro the spawns. sounds easy but when the spawns decide to target other people it can get ugly. the loot is ok, average of 20 mil each if 5 guys do it. and the guy who says he does 4/10s in a tiranis is full of it :)although those can be solo'd in a battle cruiser if u fit a big tank. 5/10's can be done with 2 bs if you both fit a remote rep. hope that helps.

Actually, the guy who said he can solo it in a taranis is telling the truth. A guristas one would be easy. I've solo'd 5/10 plexes before.

Drone commander did 300-400 damage, more then i could tank (having 70% on ther kinm and 55 or so on exp and 60 em).. He did 650 a pop on my struct :( they are hard, I had M pulses and L D250 but as soon as the drones got close they where impossible to hit.. The last stage was impossible, when all attacked i lost my 7k armor in 10 sec blank, that was INSANE!

Easily solo'd in a jag without even paying attention to what I was doing. I'd move up to 4s but I hear they have a strange lack of bpcs.

Drones seem to have a MUCH higher dps than supposedly equivalent-level ships.

franny	Posted - 2005.07.29 08:24:00 - [30] the only issue I would see(besides serp 4/10s being possibly bugged with no loot) is breaking the mega's tank duo'd all but the mega with enyo + vexor(me), just couldn't break it's tank(so close too, it was in hull when we ran out of AM), but that was pre Cold War patch and a lot less SP
