This is an area I have ignored all my time in game, and now I am looking to persue this line of combat. What I am looking for is some setups and explanations, as to why the setup is used (strengths/weaknesses), like I say I have ignored this in the past, so do not assume any knowledge, start as basic as you like.

I tried to find something post-EW-changes for this as well, but couldn't find it.
I have come up with this:
highs: launchers/guns maybe nos
meds: 2x dampener / 2x multspec / web / 2point scrambler
Lows: cap relays
The idea behind this setups is that since EW is now chance based you need more time with succesful jams.
First you use the dampeners which give you the extra jammer cycles you will need with larger ships.
Against smaller ships the locking time increase is not so much, but you have a better chance of jamming them anyway.
Once you get a succesfull jam you switch of the dampeners to save cap.
When the lock is broken (look at the yellow brackets) you use the dampeners again.
and so on.
Maybe some people have better ideas, but this setups saves a lot of cap using it.
You can't use all jammers anymore since they use more cap overtime.

high: 2 med nos, 2 other modules
med: 3 racial ecm, 1 web, 1 7.5km scrambler, 1 ABII
low: nanofibres
i use this as closerange interdictor paired with a blasterthron (thats why i use nanos)

The thing about racial ECM is that you never know what you will encounter so that's why i choose 2 multispecs.

I cannot remember exactly what I had, as I only tested a BB setup once. But it was something similar to the following:
High(4)
2x Heavy Launcher (FOF)
1x Assault Launcher (Defender)
Medium(6)
1x 10MN AB
1x Large Shield Extender
4x Multispec ECM
Low(2)
PVP: 1x Warp Core Stabiliser
PVP: 1x Sensor Booster
NPC: 2x Power Diagnostic Unit
ex P-TMC
If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.
