They're a front for the Triad. they've killed 5 people irl for sure, but there could be many more.
The last person to be murdered was a bulgarian diplomat, who was forced to cut his own wife and child's throats at gunpoint, before being hung up in a abattoir and slowly bled to death over a period of days.
The diplomat's crime? he was overfamiliar with one of the heads of the family in a restaurant.
Yamaguichi themselves have fingers in many pies, the ****** trade, people smuggling, cheap consumer electronics. It's a brave man who tangles with these guys.
