1) insure your ship.
2) Depending on your starting range his 425mm's or even 350mm's wont hit you at 500m very well, if you do start close use blasters their rof and damage are both awsome the only thing you need to worry about is getting into range, use a mwd, warp scrambler, webber and cap injector, along with a tank till you get into range

2 or 3 tracking disrupters would riun his day too, just activate them and fly over to blaster range, theres no way he'll hit you if you orbit at 5kms or so. Or even a few sensor dampers would buy you enough time to mwd under his guns range, then you can fit with mostly dmg mods with little tankage.

7x 425mm
1x Sensor Booster 3x Tracking Disruptor
5x Mag Stab II 2x Tracking Enhancer II
Keep your transverse over about 100 m/s and he'd be lucky to hit you at all.

If he has good gunnery skills in a Megathron with 425's he will be able to hit you with Antimatter all the way from 40 km down to 10 for scary damage so be prepared to either tank that or kill him first.
like wise with good skills and Iridum you should be able to start getting decent hits from your Blasters from 30km-25km out.
Make sure you can tank his damage and not cap out. you may want to fit acouple of heavy nos to help run you MWD and break his tank if he has one.
Happy hunting :)

Easy, Blasterthron.
HIGH 7 Blasters (the best PG allowed) 1 large smartbomb
MED 1 Stasis Webber 1 Tracking Disrupter (Or Scrambler to mess with him) 1 100mn MWD 2 (AB to save PG if needed) 1 Cap Recharger 2 or Cap Booster
LOW 2 1600 Plate 2 6 Gyro Stab 2
It should be an easy battle. As long as he isn't packing ECM (cheep if he knows what your flying and won't be fun for either of you)
The idea is to simply survive the onslaught while getting within range. If he can eat thru a mega's shields and armor plus the extra 6k armor from the plates, give him the win, he deserved it.
Anyway, warp in, approach, web and fire. At this point, you should be healthy (half armor or so, but more than alive and he should be landing No more hits on you)and you should be at 0-5km from him. He isn't going anywhere either. he will be forced to deploy drones. When he does, pop them with the smartbomb. Then turn it off, and deploy your drones.
If you decided on the scrambler, make him beg for his ship =D, otherwise, he will warp and you will still be the winner...
NOTE: if you start at 40k or further apart, withdraw. If you were to get to him from that range, you will be in structure and be out of cap, neither you want.

That sounds a little unfair to me - isn't optimal for 425s with antimatter close to that range?
I think you should change it to 20/25 so that its you both have to travel to get into optimal.

This is one of the worst blasterthron setups I've ever seen. Fly this and you will be slaughtered.
Oh, and a mega has 7 lowslots, and Gyros are projectile damage mods.

Just to make sure, why not go on the test server, Sisi, and blow the crap out of each other multiple times?
Its fun and educational!

With two tracking computers your optimal of 425's is pushing 35-40kms depending on skills. Other then that its near 25-30kms

Ok, he's railathron and expecting another mega.
Railsathron will probably mean he goes for a sensor booster, ab to keep range, and some tracking computers or target painters.
So, to counter that, use 2 tracking disruptors and a web in your meds along with an MWD.
Aside from that you can both use drones so fitting a smartbomb is kinda wastefull. Try using that last high for a NOS to gain more cap.
7 electrons, heavy nos. mwd, web, 2x tracking disruptor large repairer, kin plus thermal hardener, damage mods, RCU/PDU if needed but rather not.
Tracking disrupt him (will also reduce his optimal range by roughly 70% using two disruptors with decent skills, so he will hit for crap twice over since he'll be in falloff at start and will have toruble handling tracking when you come closer).
MWd over to 10km using a trajectory somewhat off-center, shut off mwd at 10-15km, orbit at 4km and let loose with the electrons. Don't get scared when he puts you in armor before you get into 10km, you can tank his drones, and below 10km he'll no longer hit much at all.
Either that, or go railathron with 3 tracking disruptors in your meds. that'll be guaranteed to pwn him as well unless he uses the same on you. Having 80% of optimal cut out from under him will hurt his damage alot. Just make sure to stay at 40ish km in that case since that'll halve his damage.
