Here's the idea and please read through my post before shooting me down straight away.
Deadspace commanders can now drop BPC's of faction ships. Which is.... nice, there are slightly more faction ships in game now to play around with.
Here's the problem though, I've wanted to move down to Stain region and work for Sansha because I REALLY want one of those Sansha Cruisers. It'll take me months and months of level 4 agent running to get the bpc agent offer. But one person in an afternoon could clean out a deadspace complex and get one dropped for her just out of luck. As it stands I have a better chance to get a Sansha cruiser by actually going and destroying their deadspace places than spending the months trying to get the agent offer.
My suggestion would be this: DONT remove the bpc drops from the deadspace complexes but either lower the loyalty point requirements or allow agent runners with sufficiently high levels in their appropriate standings to BUY the ships off of their agents. For example level 2 agents could offer the Frigate, level 3 the cruiser, level 4 the Battleship... The cost could also be more expensive than normal ships as well (25- 50% more expensive than their respective ships) also with this it would not only make PvP challenging (in term of capabilities) also give some actual physical definition to RP groups and individuals who want to portray a particular faction in game.
That's it...

Sounds like a solid idea to me.

Yes but.... that would resuslt in a flood of faction ships onto the market. And this would take a lot of the point of complexes out of them.

True to a point, those complexes before the latest patch didnt drop faction ship BPCs. The inclusion of this has or will already "flood" the market as you say. The proposal I made was two-fold. If in danger of causing problems with the market (not that people really care) Then find some way for it to be easier for agent mission runners to get hold of their respective faction ships just as easy as farming their respective complexes.
One - two months of agent missions for a faction Cruiser or pay 250+ million for the BPC. Compared to go do a faction 5/10 complex and get one in a day... not really fair to the agent runner is it?

I think the Loyalty point requirement was lowered (Wasn't it ?) They also increased the cost in ISK to get them To allow less LP's Required.
Not sure if thats correct but I swear I read it somewhere. |

on the flip sides perhaps ther equiremens for factioanl battleships in minerals or other equipment could be raised - transmitters have no real use and datasheets also dont really have much use.
Perhaps a lottery system similar to RP could be introduced for straight Factional BS offers and BPCs still require minerals etc for constrcution

Personally I think that it makes more sense that mission runners get bluprints for their hard work. Maybe the frequency of bp drops should be lessened? Afterall, Sansha's would probably stop sending BPs to their installations if they knew they were constantly being raided .
Plus, if people can get BPs from drops with high frequency, how will that not create a flood?
