Q1 - Non Ammar pilots please insert your lol remarks about a legion here then leave the thread
Q2 - Lo sec Sigs in my pilgrim a piece of cake, but first 0.0 Mag (via a WH ) sent me home in a pod. With full skills, will a Legion handle 0.0 radars and mags solo? (im half way there with the sub-skills)
Q3 - if yes, can a kindly fellow Amarr lover suggest a 0.0 solo exploration Legion fit they have used.
Q4 - If no, whats the best racial alterntiave - currently im skilled as a cloaky drone & neut pilot.
Thanks. |

Q1) lol Q2) I can't speak to null sec sigs, but it handles WH sigs up to C3 really well. Q3) Sorry. Q4) I've physically watched someone do Serp 10/10s in an Ishtar (Siigari Kitawa). This may not work anymore with the AI changes.

Q1,2,3. I think Legion has specific regions and rats that it will be resisted against naturally. Also, the fit should be rat specific.
Q4. For what I have done, my experience was that Tengu was best and Proteus was second best. I could solo any and all Serp 10/10 in my Tengu at one time. Proteus could do most, but not all, and it was just harder... I did like the Proteus drone bay, and ecm drones saved me (let me take more risk) many times.
For most sites, rat specific fits/High resists are what matters.
Also lo-sec and 0.0 are two different animals. You can fit your subs for DPS much better in lo-sec only. |

Thanks for your reply. The Tengu is a lot of training time - what stops me wanting to train it is that by the time I get to use it CCP will nerf the ships - seriously don't want RL time wasted on this! But I will look. Thanks once again for the facts that you've given me. |

Very tanky with 82k EHP (uniform resist) and dps of around 350 (drone only). Can swap the electronic subsystem with Energy Parasitic Complex and drop the code breaker to become Pilgrim's poor cousin. Or change the prop subsystem with Nullifier and drop one of the EANM.
I also use Legion for exploration - lowsec only though.. |

Just to add, I agree with other posters.. Proteus or any other T3s can do much better job than Legion.. sigh..
What you have up there is an expensive version of a Pilgrim (which I believe you fly) but much tankier so you can survive the rats in null.

Loki is bar far the worse PVE tech 3 cruiser. It is nothing short of awful. Then again most minmatar ships are awful at PVE - the Maelstrom/Sleipnir are 2 that actually shine and don't struggle. |

One more Question - Having been bubbled both times ive wandered in 0.0 the interdiction nullifier interests me greatly - would it hurt this fit significantly to fit it? |

Doubt I would fit an interdiction nullifier without a covert ops cloak too. You can't really reduce your signature the way you can with a Loki, and your agility will be bad if you have a plate attached. Odds are that they will have you targeted and pointed before you can warp out, making the bubble immunity moot, at least if it is on the gate itself. |

IIRC it will cost you a lowslot, so either you take a hit on your already low DPS (Consider a navy heat sink?) or losing some tank. If you must, I'd probably lose a heat sink until you get comfortable. I don't know how much good the nullifier does you without a cloak though, as you ARE still an armor ship, your align will be slow enough for a ceptor to snag you.

I mostly do sites in a 0sec pocket that is "safe". (because or alliance controls it). But if i need to go out the pocket i just use a travel fit with nullifier, cloak and probes on. i wouldn't try to edit this fitting 'cause it will only screw it up. Just make a fitting pure for travel. and get you're other fitting + subsystems in cargo. Go to the system you want, scan sites down. docked up refit and go pew pew |

I never put faction or deadspace stuff in my suggested fittings on the forum. You never know how rich the topicstarter is. Its a basic from what they can start. everybody knows that switching a T2 for a DS item only makes a fitting that bit better. It's your personal choice if you find that bit more worth the extra isk.
And low DPS? 621 is not so bad if you keep in mind that this fitting also has a decent tank. But if you wanna go for the high numbers. Drop the DC and throw in 3x navy HS and you get a nice 751 DPS
And this one is for the people who always only say: "get a proteus or tengu"
Yeah Amarr people already know it by now. But some of us like to be a pure Amarr character (Like me) And don't wanna see spaceship skills or gunnery skills of another race on or eveboard just so that we could fly that 1 ship |

Thats exactly my M O in lo sec. For null Ive been using WHs to Ninja random 0..0 but to travel fit will require me to live in some nice NPC 0.0 and get to know local and the stations I guess its time to get serious about 0.0
Not wanting to tread on your toes but any tips for noob NPC null for operating the legion as you do ?

Throw an a-type repper, T2 rigs and 3 faction heatsinks instead of the damage control and you have yourself a pro fit. Not today spaghetti. |

I would just fit the nullifier subsystem and use MWD+Cloak trick to get out of the camp. Unless gankers have instalocking ceptor (or you just unlucky), you should be fine. Since you are using it for PVE, nanobot subs without plate should suffice to tank the rats and will not slow your align time.
Unless you use HAM Legion (or drone), you are pretty much locked to EM damage only which potentially slows your completion time (and thus higher chance getting ganked). Optimally, you probably can only explorer Blood Raider space - but you will need to make sure that your damage projection is farther than 25km due to Neut. Sansha TD will kill your dps - not recommended for lazor Legion. |
