This is what I call "the greatest work around of the century!"
Before, if anyone deleted a corp mail, then the people that were offline got theirs deleted too because the box was considered a single box for everyone.
Now, no one can delete eve-mail thus fixing the problem for all. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

I just came on to ask if they remembered to fix this in the patch tomorrow?
It should be directors and ceo only able to delete corp mails.
And for their own sake fix it. I can imagine it adds a LOT of unnecessary serverlag.

Edited by: Felony Assualt on 12/07/2005 21:18:44 Thats a retarded "feature" it takes my computer 30 sec to open corp mail and there's maybe 30-40 mails. This is the worst feature i have ever seen. Just let us delete our corp mails again.
Even being a ceo, i cant delete corp mails.

the lag has nothing to do with corp or alliance mails. I have an alt in my alt corp that has no corp mail (and of course no alliance mail) and only a handful of mails in his inbox, yet it still takes the same amount of time to load up as this character's inbox, which has all 3 types.

You should still be able to delete corp mails.

CEOs, and maybe directors, yes. Everybody else, an unequivocal no. I got about 1% of mails before this change ocurred, and I don't want to go back to not knowing what was going on in the corp or alliance.

I can see it now, alt takes his forcefed corporate mailbox to a combat zone and lags out the whole node.

Actually, our CEO CYVOK came close to crashing a node in Feyth after he hadn't checked his mailbox in almost a month...

This issue is nowhere near as critical or crucial as the issue of civilian weapon ranges.

This is going to get progressively more annoying as the undeletable mails pile up.
Would be nice if someone in the know addressed this.
