Is there any easy way to see if you are currently warpjammed webbified or other similar effects?
Doing cosmos missions I realized the only way I have to see if I am warpjammed is to try to warp out and not be able to do that.
Why not change the capacitor display from orange to bright red when you are warpjammed and have the speed bar turn redish if you are webbified?
I would think that should be easy fixes and it would be very visable.

Nope there is no way of telling apart from the Initial messge "Something has started Trying to Warp scramble something"
It needs to be Sorted, Because The only indication is that You Dont warp.
Need something like an indicator saying Cannot Warp or At least Something.
Because Randomly trying to warp every second is a joke. |

how about a little window that shows you how much you're "e-war attacked" like this
of course it will never show from where or who the scramble/web comes, only what type of ewar and what strength.
and of course if will only be displayed if you got the evil Module "E-War Recognition" on board and equipped.
just my 2 euro-cents

I wouldn't like the cap display changed, it already changes colour from yellow to red when you start running out of cap, which I like.
Either a display like the person above is showing, or maybe thin horizontal coloured tube below the shield/armour bar which changes colour to red or something when you are scrambled. It could even be animated with some sort of plasma floating around inside the tube. As long as the colour wasn't too bright and distracting, I guess something like this could work.
As for being webbed, its easy to know when you are webbed, your entire ship glows blue

Any version of display would be fine with me, I just want to be able to know if I am warpjammed or not.
It can actually be rather important information, especially in a PvP situation.

Edited by: TuRtLe HeAd on 13/07/2005 13:24:18 U just need to know that you are Scrambled and Cannot Warp. Webbed is easy ! you glow Blue and Spped Decreases Like a *****.
Put it in the Velocity part of the UI.
It would say
2000m/s ------- Scrambled.
Cos lets Face it The attck Strength is irrelevant If you scrambled Your Scrambled. |

you can allways tell if you are visualy scrambled, you see blue streams coming out from the enemy ship, what i tend to see these days is not all NPC's scramble you and only some web you.
I generaly shoot the scramblers down first as these types will constantly scramble you, the others that orbit you will not rescramble you but the NPC's seem to think there the daddys and have you scrambled with there inactive modules...
Its hard to explain but you must have a closer up view on your ship to see what is scrambling you.
If indoubt hit warp and if your ship doesnt turn thats because AP wont allow it :)
As for adding a window to say how many are jamming you i think that would be a very bad idea. ==============================================

Yes but if you are fighting 10+ oponents and have to be active all the time so as not to get killed it may not always be easy to make sure you have checked to see if any of the oponents are currently jamming.

How so? It would be very usefull information and well withing what could be expected that a ship is designed to keep track of. If you dont want it to be redily available because that would allow people to act on the attack... well thats the point isnt it. As for knowing specific data such as X, Y and Z are currently jamming you, for 1, 1, 3... ok I can see that being over the top but an indicator that tells you that you are currently not able to warp away SHOULD be added :)

if your fighting players, they are not dumb, use your overview to lock the enemy bs and shoot them as you use your drones to shoot the 10 players orbiting you.
if 10 players orbit you you will be scrambled by all of them and your 8 stabbed geddon wont go very far.
A window to show how many are scrambling you would just make the game to easy for NPC'ers :P
EVE gives you the ability to learn and adapt to different enviroments in the game, not hand it to you on a plate :) ==============================================

Everyone is going to flame me for saying this, but oh well.
The new voice seems to know everything, like when "a module is out of charges" ect. Why not have her tell you that you have been warp scrambled; when the warp strength of your ship has been surpassed by the warp strength of your attackers. "Warp drive is OFFLINE". This certainly won't help anyone who hates the voice and has turned it down. But at least there would be some sort of indicator. Maybe put an icon we can click on that will activate the voice to tell us the general ship condition... "Targetting system jammed" "Warp drive is OFFLINE" "Targetting range reduced" "Propulsion compromised".. something to that effect. or "All modules functioning properly"
Just a thought... Of course, having her spam the stuff would be very annoying.

No u can't ! That Blue Stream Happens Whether you are scrambled or not when they activate it. Which is why we need to know When we can or cant warp.
Yes bad idea How many People are Jamming u ! Like I said, if u are scrambled ur r Scrambled, all you need to know is when your not and can warp, It makes no difference who is scrambling you or how scrambled you are. |
