There's no perceivable increase in spawn rate/drop rate in the Contested Caldari Lai Dai Refinery areas in Airmia that drop mission required items like Miners, Wiyrkomi Rifles, Propel Dynamics Dogtags, Encoded Lai Dai Reports, etc. Since the patch notes were not specific about that aspect, i'm not sure what areas were supposed to be fixed. But this one definately is not.
Even if you are the ONLY person at the correct spawn location, it takes about 2.5 hours to collect your 3 to 5 needed items. But you end up with 2 to 6 other people needing the same thing, all grabbing for the same rare loot can. So it makes for a very pitiful experience. Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting.....rat finally appears.....aww no loot can again.....waiting, waiting, waiting.....rat appears, aww someone else got the can 1st.......waiting, waiting, waiting......
I hope CCP can fix this 'cause it's very unfun and frustrating

its EQ/WoW/AO in space! Thousands (well, hundred of thousands) of happy, paying customers, camping and grinding away for hours, or days, in hopes of snagging that rare spawn/rare drop, they can't be wrong!
Congrats to CCP for adding that common MMO element to the game, and rounding out the Eve experience.
Now, I still need to camp for 5 more tags, but I can pass the time profitably by mining, I just bang my forehead against any nearby rocks, maybe they will drop some ore!

ok 5 hours of camping... 30 kills... 1 rifle dropped in that entire time... so for my lvl 1 or 2 agent, it's taking me 7 days to complete the mission. I suspect the recent patch was to ADD the possibility for them to actually drop but the drop frequency might need a little tweaking... unless this is intended....

I assure you, the respawn rates and drop rates for almost everything was increased.
Perhaps a further increase is needed, I will take a look at it.

You gotta be kidding! You guys should start play yout game from time to time. Go to okkelen and place yourselv beside the other 10 campers that try to get a kill in. Needless to say that you need like 20 kills to get the tags/items you need.
My cosmos missions run out and i can't restart them. By making these not instance you created a new everquest like camping. well done!

Edited by: Bull Slater on 14/07/2005 11:51:02 The chances of drops for things like this would be bad enough if you could get another chance to do the missions but it was stated you can't and can only ever do them once. How about changing them to allow you to only ever finish the mission once? I'm sure a lot will still be annoyed at the failings and low drops but at least they get another chance to do the missions and enjoy the new COSMOS areas more than the "OMG A CAN!!! ... crap someone else got it" experience.
Another suggestion after having read other posts on the COSMOS missions and personal experience, how about making these agents as 'smart' as the rest of those in Eve? If you can't finish a mission because you lack skills needed (archeology etc.. I mean, not combat skills) then make the agent warn the player they will need help or won't be able to complete the mission.

Thats been in EVE for the last six months. Or maybe you missed all those complexes? I
have been trying to do some complexes recently because of the faction ship BPC's. These complexes are in systems that rarely have over ten people, yet every time I go there its already been cleaned out (I visited it every hour or so over two days of missioning in the area).
No way in hell am I camping anything. I don't care how good the rewards are. The constant camping and tracking down certain spawns was the reason I quit WoW.
