What Starbase structure do I need in order to build Capital components at my POS? For example I want to build Capital Cargo Bay's and I know what minerals I need but not sure what structure I need to build them at my POS. |

Component Assembly Array, it's in the description of the array. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Considering the high m3 each capital component takes, making it hard to haul around why don't you build components and ship at the same place? Most builders choose a station because of this.

absolutely agree. I build and sell carriers,I haul the raw minerals to a station, build my components there, assemble the carriers in the same station, and sell them before they every undock. SImple. |

Apart from that I don't know many reasons to not build in a station. |

And it's hard to find free factory slots in Sov nullsec (if, for whatever reason, you actually wanted to build Carriers there).
But for mass production of Carriers a LS NPC station is Boss (I guess NPC null would work too, but that's just for weirdos). This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Orcas, freighters, and jump freighters require capital parts. it's possible he does not wish to risk low sec and not travel to far to find open hi sec slots. It could also be a personal corp goal. It may be cheaper to buy a corp orca, but building one using bpcs from indy aliance mates can be a good corp building experience, and all the more rewarding if you manage to anchor your own pos. I had great fun working with my friends to build our corp orca.
Granted, I learned that capital construction was not my path to profit, but I can still sat I built an orca. |

You just need to keep your factories near one another so you can grag/drop.
A large ship assembly array can hold 18m m3 worth of materials. Drag/drop into cap factories. Once these are done drag/drop cap conponents into your ship arrays. |
