My character is something like a week old, I've got 200k SP, and a few million ISK. I've decided I want to be a distributor for a player-made corp, can I get some advice on what to skill up/what ships to get/etc to set me up to be a good distributor for a player-made corp? I'd eventually like to make runs in low sec as well as do some trading.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks |

Jump frieghter. Its a necessity for any low sec pirates, null corp, mining op, pretty much every one needs a jf pilot.
Edit: its a huge skill commitment and very expensive without much reward. Do something else while you skill up to it. If you want to operate in those sorts of environments consider moving out there first so you know what goes on, what is expected of a jf pilot, whatsort of supplies will be needed, how to operate a cyno, etc. |

Early on you can join a mining corp as a hauler using an Industrial ship. You get given one at the end of one of the tutorials I believe. |

People usually devalue their own time, so you're probably going to have trouble convincing them that it's worth giving YOU some of their profits to save them from hauling stuff. Even though in theory it's true - the guy could be spending another hour in the barge rather than 1 hour transporting stuff, and make more ISK. There's just no numbers, no feedback, no "You could have made 123242.5 ISK" scrolling at the top of their screen, and on the other hand the wallet bottom line is hard to argue with. Even though it doesn't track time spent.

As others have said, until you have a Jump Freighter as a "pure" hauler you're basically restricted to moving minerals for mining operations as far as regular usage in-corp goes. Once you have a jump freighter you can run the regular supply runs for null-sec.
If you want to find a corp entirely dedicated to hauling, Black Frog is still around, I've got no clue what their recruiting restrictions are, though.
In all honesty, generally I'd advise training combat ships in parallel with your hauler just... so you have other things to do, basically. If your corpmates don't need stuff moved as frequently as you imagine. |

The trick to being "the logistics guy" (non-RR) is versatility, if you advertise yourself as "have one ship, please "hire" me" then nothing will happen as haulers, freighters and even JF are mostly alts. So if you try to compete with alts like that you're not going to convince anyone and they won't need you.
What they'd DO like is someone who has a myriad of ship options and can add extra options/service on top of the basic hauling, perhaps you know some good ore/mineral buyers, perhaps you have alts with really good standing for refining, or have good trade skills, perhaps you KNOW how to avoid being suicided and you understand how to get a freighter to move around high sec really really quickly (webbing alt, I had an alt corp once that advertised as a really fast freighter and there was a market for that).
So you'll want tanked options, fast cloaky options, bulk options combined with a network of suppliers and buyers with a solid understanding of how to not do it wrong. If you want to do it "right" you'll need 2-4 accounts to make it happen, especially if you get into the jump freighter/carrier business. If you're "just" one account then you're effectively the same as someone's hauling alt and you'll have to add more than "I move afk through space".

Don't bother, right now if you are hauling for a Mining Corp (sub-cap) you should be hauling in a Retriever. |

T2 versions (Blockade runners / Deep Space Transports)
Freighter
Jump Freighter
But, keep in mind that unless you are in a corporation like Red Frog, you won't have much to do in a player corp. Unlike you might think, most corps don't need a full-time hauler each and every single day. Maybe in null-sec you can do the same for the entire alliance but even then, you will have your days where nobody needs something shipped.
So besides the hauling part, finds something do kill your time with if really needed. |

Black Frog doesn't directly recruit.
To get into Black Frog (jump freighter service) you first need to be part of Red Frog (high-sec freighter service) and been proven trustworthy with high value shipments in Black Frog.
Black recruits out of the pool of Red Frogs and then dyes them a different color. |
