Ok..well..im getting like 10-15 crashes to desktop a day... Its annoying the hell out of me.. One of our corp members is a software engineer and he's looked at the error files and says its down to the chat client not converting correctly and returning a wrong result which bombs you out. (something about an integer being to large or somit...)
so.. please ccp, can we have a fix..... cheers Caer

maybe you could file a bugreport? you know, the thing that CCP actually looks at to find bugs? And maybe, just maybe you could attach the error logs in a zip file?
Also, your 'software engineer' friend could be wrong.

Does that mean that if you dont look at chat you dont get affected? Hmm... also I thought it was something to do with the marketplace or at least thats what I heard. I actually get problems when I warp anywhere. I crash just as im coming out of warp.

This actually does sound likely so please oh please bug report it properly, we are desperate for a solution and it seems to be beyond CCPs capabilities to locate it on their own.

I would do a bug report BUT I crash in about 10 or 30 seconds from joining the game so I dont have time to do anything.

"(something about an integer being to large or somit...)"
That basically means that somewhere in the chat client it's expecting a whole number between 0 and 32,767 (at least, that's how high visual basic allows it to be before overflow errors occur), and it's getting something outside that range, resulting in an overflow error.
Logserver and submit it m8 :) It'll help them a ton in fixing it. ----------------------------------------------- My Ideas: Drones wish list <-- 2 years old :O
