Well you have to keep in mind that there are 5000 something systems connected by stargates. Each system has several planets and some are habitiable (is that a word?). Not to mention stations. I don't think we'll be running out of minions any time soon. Plus I would think that ships would come with escape pods for the crew, well maybe not the amaar ones

Any idea how many many ships get blown up everyday? War, pirates, npcing etc.Doesn't appear the crew has any escape pods and I guess it makes sense if they get blown up as well.
Someday we will run out of volunteers to polish our armor or eve humans breed like bunnies.

well considering mankind has managed to produce over 5 billion inhabitants on our small planet during the short time weve been here, imagine how many we would be after 27,000 years.
wich begs the question, how come no one has invented machines to replace humans when it comes to manual labour on board starships? ______________________

Most things are run by machines probaply, but you still need humans to make sure everything is running smoothly, if something jams or whatever you can't get out of your pod, run to the other end of the ship and use the manual override...

Seeing as how people in Eve are also born in test tubes the population size can be almost unlimited.

It was always obvious there were crews on ships, I mean look at the windows for crying out loud.
And, if there are this many people on a pod ship - where many of the functions are controlled directly so minimal crew is needed - imagine the deaths from NPC rats that still use captains and bridges!
Mind you, it's a great pleasure to kill thousands of screaming pirate crewmembers. If there was a graphic of the hull tearing open and people spilling out, I'd also smile ------------

Erh...maybe, but I think it's more probable they wanted to emphasise the pod pilot's elegance and elevated status (and possibly a fresh clone, a crucial symbol of the whole demigod thing).

Im pretty sure that is the case, I think I read somewhere that once you enter your pod, death is the only way to get out. ______________________
