I couldn't see this specifically in the common ideas thread, but it's definitely something that has come up a lot and that a lot of players would find very useful.
Essentially what's needed is the ability to select a group of BP's and enter the number to produce / copies / ME lvl etc. Obviously the client would then check whether there were enough free slots in the station (default) / POS, whether you have the required skills for each BP, and whether you had the required materials in the hangar / POS.
I.e.:
- Select multiple BP's in the same station / POS hangar
- Right click
- Select Manufacture / Copy / Research
- Enter required amount
- Select slot (default would be current station)
- Check whether required slots / skills / materials are available
- Install jobs
This would save so many people so much time and clicking induced pain. I've searched for other posts like this and got this which includes a few other things as well:
http://eve-search.com/thread/1200245
However, I couldn't find any threads on this idea that got a Dev response.
I'd love to know from a Dev whether this is even possible to implement (I really can't see how hard it would be) and whether it would ever be considered seems as the idea has been around forever... |

Has a Dev already answered this question a long time ago? I still can't find a link so if anyone has one it would be appreciated :) |

there are definitely many clicks that could be reduced. e.g. if there are free slots in the current station, why do you have to select it? let you apply default decisions if you choose.
added this to my ideas list... more little ideas that need your support: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=261507#post261507 enjoying the order cancellation confirmation? sometimes CCP listens - there is hope after all :) www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1431503 |

I would absolutely love this change. I've started doing some intensive invention/manufacturing and I realized just cumbersome it was to setup 5 inventions every hour or so. There's a lot of things that could be done.
The way I would like it; -You highlight all the blueprints that you need and select 'Invention' -You get a window with all the different blueprints side by side. -You select the decryptors, runs etc -You select the location and you get an interface similar to the attribute allocation mixed with skill queues. You have to distribute the jobs on the laboratory queues. You click complete when that's done and you get the confirmation screen with the final numbers.
Also, it would be nice to have a single button to retrieve completed jobs. |

I agree that it could be made better (such as auto-selecting a free slot, or slightly reducing the number of clicks by remembering your previous entry in the various fields).
But I disagree with any sort of batch system - it would drive margins to even thinner slivers then they are already. |

Alright, I'm silly. I just realized I could deliver all jobs at once by highlighting them all then clicking the deliver job.
I'm still in favor of batch processing. Most of the items I produce have a 40-50% profit margin. |

Exactly. The default should clearly be the station you're in. Selecting it every time is completely unnecessary.

I can see where you are coming from. However, I'm not sure many people who are serious about making money are put off by the number of clicks they have to make.
Even if this did reduce the margin on some items, the cost of items shouldn't be dictated by how RSI inducing it is to set up the build orders... |

Bumpity.
What with all the great changes / fixes going on atm, would it be possible for this to be included in the near future?

Not sure what would be the best way to make this work, but having to install a batch instead of 10 separate jobs would be great. Today - The Power of Two Tomorrow - 2 Hulks and an Orca |

I can't see this being particularly hard to implement - just check each BP in turn for the required skills, materials and slot availability.
Maybe a Dev can tell us if it would be easy / hard to do? :p

This is still a massive PITA, especially when manufacturing at POSes. |
