Major Gormur, one of the big guns in the QA department, has announced an optional patch to resolve the petition issue posted by GM Rendo on Wednesday. The manditory patch will be coming next week. If you need to file a petition, download and install the optional patch.
GM Arkanon also posted a News Item about the Corporation Mail bug. In a nutshell, it is possible to send mail to a corporation other than your own. However, to do so can be considered harassment and may result in an in-game warning or ban. DO NOT SEND MAIL TO A CORPORATION OTHER THAN YOUR OWN. This issue will be resolved in the near future.

Heh, this issue probably would not have warranted a dev response. But Daakon had to go and start spamming the Devs and GM's... geeze you must really hate him for this.

No idea how people manage to take advantage of this, but it wouldn't be a big problem if you could delete corp and alliance mails again. That's the real important bug IMO.

Not being able to delete corp mail is a pain. It's starting to get cluttered and we've had to ask members not to use it until the bug is resolved. 
I can't imagine how cluttered it must be for corps without any out-of-game forums.

the big problem is that people/players dont read forums or devblogs
that bug also inflicts on npc corps

It wouldnt be so much of a pain, but for the fact that opening mails lags everybody and sometimes even crashes many people
This needs to be fxed really fast: same with killmails: when one is received: the client lags horribly for everybody. This for obvious reasons, is not a good thing, as you often have no chance to warp away in your pod, or target another hostile etc..

But if it's a basically dead corp and no one will petition I guess it's ok to send corp mail to it.
Faulty testing kept me from delivering the "Logic Editor" earlier.
I was using my own post and it kept blanking everything out.

I see no bug what ever yee put in to the game is part of the game and not no bug.
If ya was to call that a bug then are the missiles skills bug ?
I see no bugs at all.?

Lets have a hotfix - patch that allows CEOs and ALliance controllers to delete their corp evemails they dont need anymore - perhaps have a new class of grantable role for directors concerning deleting or not being able to delete corp evemails.
