Not impressed with the changes, I had hoped that CCP would just give the tier1 battlecruisers better speed/agility and more HP.
Why does every rebalance now = completely different bloody ship. Give us variants, MlI and MkII, New blueprints to research for the MkII and people can still have and produce their old faithful.
More ships FTW. |

Because that isnt more ships, thats "here well give you the option to buy the pre-buff or post-nerf broken version of the ship, making all the other versions floating around in our database irrelevant".
dont get me wrong, im pissed about ALOT of the changes, but im at least rational enough to see the greater balance and need of the changes over the butthurt.
(though the ahrby changes im mixed on the need for, however as long as it stays a laser boat, i swear if they make the harby a missile boat at ANY POINT IN TIME FOR WHATEVER REASON for "diversity" ill flip my ****, doing a 180 turn and grab right there.) |

To my knowledge, they only changed 2 ships out of the 8. And the tier 2 BCs were a bit OP for what they are, the mid ground from cruiser to battleship.
So the tier 1s were buffed, and/or repurposed, and the tier 2s were slightly nerfed. And it is only slightly.

@OP: just because you post the exact same rubbish in two subforums (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=202179&find=unread), that doesn't make it any more true.
CCP is changing two less used ships in order to fill up their alternative weapon system line, a doctrine we've seen happen from frigate to destroyer to cruiser and will supposedly continue onto the battleship line as well. If you want to use projectiles, there's the Hurricane, if you want to use the lasers, there's the Harbinger, but you will no longer be forced to skill from drones to lasers, just because there's for example no dedicated drone ship after Arbitrator.
Incidentally, both ships are immense fun to fly. Cyclone is sort of a nano Drake, while Prophecy is a mini Domination with drones (or an ubertanked Myrmidon with missiles/lasers). I expect both to see extensive use in the future, unlike their current versions. |

This could be interesting in the context of anything that is getting radically changed.. like the typhoon (that is rumored to become a purely missile ship) - you'd have the phoon mk 1 as the current delicious versatile love cigar that it is, and the phoon mk 2 as someone's missile fantasy. Not saying something-mark-1 shouldn't be buffed when it's terrible in it's current state (sup prophecy)
