ArcticWolf	Posted - 2005.07.17 07:54:00 - [1] Its a kinda funny story...not to make excuses, but im tired so i decided to go unachor my own bubble.... Well then 9 F-E jump in and kill me and my alt. The even funnier thing was right when i died my bubble unanchored so they have that now too lol. I knew i would loose it eventually, and im never one to run from danger, or wear warp cores (not like they would have helped anyway). I Did say oh well in local, after all, this is a game and its just a ship, i can always buy more. I was about to say good job as well, but with the sudden harrassment in local i choose to log instead. My corpmates want me to petetion for harrassment as well, but i always try to be the bigger man. So good job on killing me. I just wish people were a bit more mature

Serekta or someone unanchored it whilst we were attacking your barely onlining POS. We came back and the bubble was just going down. So you were stuck in your bubble the whole time. And about smack... you guys act like you're so Ub3r with your tech 2 ships and 2.5 billion isk worth ships and stuff... and when you get ganked... you're like oh it's no big deal. Smack is mostly a mind game. You can choose to let it get to your, or not... also, the funniest/most ironic thing about his death... the bubble was named "Arctic's Bubble of DOOM"... which was not initially refering to his impending doom... but turned out to be a correct name in the end...

And MASSIVE respect for taking it into a fight, most of them end up as 1.0 e-peen showoff boats. To the people posting killmails and stretching their E-Peens... had there been a battleship, and a tackler on the killmail, maybe it would warrant posting it here, and commended some respect, But there's no real reason that everyone will think you've got big cahones for taking down a faction BATTLESHIP with several of your own battleships, hac, and interceptors. Talk about overkill... The abuse in local is definatley worth the petition, it shouldn't happen, even if it's given a bunch of people a boner because they've just blown up a ship worth 2bn. At the end of they day, It's far more impressive to look at the post that was made by Odet of T-R-S, who managed to pop one of the same ships with a cerberus and a few tackling interceptors, that's a proper fight. I'm sure that T-R-S also had the common decency to keep local quiet and smack free as a mark of respect for the pilot who had nuts big enough to fly into unsecure space in a ship of such value. Again, big respect to the orginal poster, and in agreement with your corpmates, I'd definatley petition the people who were hurling abuse in local. I was sure my bubble unanchored in time thought, i started it a minute and a half before you jumped in, and my pod being 10km away warped out somehow, unless the lag was further away :). I did intend on loosing it, just not so soon lol.

I used to really get burned when I lost expensive stuff back a few years ago, but after awhile of being in PvP you realize it's just part of the game and get over it though. People will always smack though, like a few people have said. That's part of the game too. And to be completely honest pilots are starting to realize that getting someone hot in local by bragging about a kill or something can make them do stupid things. If you don't believe me then you simply don't kill people often enough to understand. So anyway man, I'm not sure it was enough to merit a post. cya in space

The1	Posted - 2005.07.18 00:54:00 - [47] Bottom line..... When you kill anyone with a gank squad that outnumbers the target 10 or 20 to one its NOT SKILL. There is NOTHING to brag about. Your only skill (or luck) came in finding him in the right place at the right time. The fact that it was a special ship means nothing. A 10-20 ship squad could take out anything, anytime if the pilots have any kind of a clue....and maybe even if they dont. Giving the pilot a hard time about a kill like that makes you look noobish and immature. Had any of you had the balls to challenge him to a 1 v 1 or had one of you caught him alone and killed him, now that would be worth talking some smack about.

They foolishly left their machariel at the gate anchoring a mobile warp with our fleet on the otherside of the gate. Naturally when the mach is in the bubble I warp in and web him our ganksquad jumps in they have 1 mach and 2 apocs on the gate we jump in that group on his killmail the 1 bs warps out they have no support at the gate the mach goes down just as it makes it out of the bubble, an apoc warps off and comes back at range later in the fight, they kill my taranis with drones and an arma, they warp in their raptor and jaguar and kill another taranis before losing another apoc(or arma w/e) and their other bs warps off after coming back at some stupid range. Later that day we killed their online large pos. Just thought I would clear up what happened for all the people that are posting as if they were their, even though they were not.

In fact the smack didn't even truely get started until after you guys decided to run up this post and go on and on about it. So that's really it, I don't think I can make it any clearer than that. If we really offended you that much maybe you should go back to Kindergarden Tee-Ball where every team wins, everyone gets a trophy at the end, and you're not allowed to talk about the other players unless it's to tell them how wonderful they are. In eve that doesn't happen.

Using a ceptor for hours? All I saw was cruise missile hitting battleships and my zealot, sadly the damage wasnt enough to break even the shields of my zealot without a booster. ----------------

No, the fact is, is that if there was any relative danger nearby he would have hauled off to a safespot like any sane person would do in a macheriel. We caught him offguard in his own bubble, which was his demise. The fact he posted this topic was to point out and try his best to salvage all painful memories from the loss to make himself look good in the expense of trying to point out how bad F-E are, how crude and offensive they are and etc. So there was no point in this topic being posted and the worst part is that SMASH members themselves are accusing us of ragging this situation on and on. We were not the ones who posted a topic, we would have not posted a topic but you guys did.
