This answer is probably in here but there is no search feature for the 200+ pages!! How do you "Rent" a spot on the billboardsw at the gate?

It is not possible Durvien, i know the billboards say "This space for rent" but you cant. Before you ask, no i dont know if you can rent space in the near future

The devs have said they want to allow it, but I haven't heard anything about that for a year. So don't hold your breath.

To be honest, I think the way that billboards work would have to change before it would be useful in that sense... I mean, other than as something to avoid on the way into the gate, do people really bother with it as it stands?
Having said that though, it could be interesting to see advertising skills that allow you to use a billboard at an individual gate, system wide, region wide, etc.

Just like to add: Oveur said something about it recently. It would involve re-encoding the billboards, as it's not there atm.
Makes you wonder why they've put that msg up there in the first place

When Oveur replyed he said it was a coding issue because the person that wrote the code no longer works for CCP, and left no notes about the billboards so they would need to be completely re-coded.

The rolling text is just a bitmap in your cache-folder, shouldn't be too hard to make the game download a new one when entering the system, it would work pretty much the same way you grab someones portrait.
