Zuzax Tiejeras	Posted - 2005.07.18 00:31:00 - [1] Has the Duo of Death mission changed since the COSMOS patch? IIRC the gates dumped you on top of a couple nasty battleships and their sentry guns. Has its difficulty changed much or at all?

Spider drones are definitely an unwelcome addition to this mission. Those battleships are definitely nasty enough. Guess I'll be going in first to just take down the spiders and get out

(simly they were 3 torps each so you wouldnt really notice anyway, cant blame you :) ogres+spiders=WTFBBQ spiderdrones Also leave them out there if you have to. When you come back in the 2 megas will be shooting your drones, joy for you :)(you get at leat 10-20 secs with nobody bothering you :) )

Warped in, took out one of the drones easy enough and then warped back out. Next time I went in i tried for one of the level 3 sentry guns, as they were dealing me the most damage. Took one out, went to warp and couldn't as I was scrambled. Tried to get the drones out, but it was too late. Really annoyed me, as there is no real indication that you are scrambled until you try to warp. ----------------------- Honor and Serve!

Vernichtungsengel	Posted - 2005.07.19 00:40:00 - [10] Edited by: Vernichtungsengel on 19/07/2005 00:40:46 If you got an alt, its possible to do 95% of the missions in a BS + enyo combo, i usually get the enyo to tank everything whilest killinng everything fast in a geddon :) Edit: however turret missions, i have to use the geddon to tank Vernichtungsengel - 'Angel Of Death'

I warped in with a 60% resist all armour tanked Apoc but the two Sansha battleships + sentry guns opened up on me almost as soon as I dropped out of warp. Nothing to warp to in front of me and I was webbed down to 2.2m/s so I couldn't turn round in anywhere near enough time to warp out. Launched 6 Ogres against the the Spider drones as soon as I could but only managed to kill one. Those BS's and the sentry guns combined seem to do about 2000 - 3000 damage per salvo (every 5 seconds or so) against armour - no chance of repairers keeping up with that. I didn't have EM resistance tanked but even so with a group of battleships I imagine this mission would take a lot of warping with a good chance of losing a ship or 2 :/. Very frustrating to have deadspace gates drop you in the middle of a gank...

I was strongly under the impression they only webbed.
Cola	Posted - 2005.07.19 04:34:00 - [13] The drones didn't seem to scramble me, I had the whole Warp Drive Active thing going however with a max speed of 2% of your normal speed once webbed it takes a billion years to line up on what your warping to. From past experience when webbed by multiple players and rats etc it seems like you cant warp, but if you peer real close your ship is still lining up the last couple of degrees and wrps out after about half a minute. The travel speed of 7000m/s for those spider drones seems a tad excessive - esp as they are as tough on hitpoints as most cruisers...

I was strongly under the impression they only webbed. I'm 100% positive I was warp scrambled, but not 100% on who I was being scrambled by the drone or one of the Battleships. I was aligned to warp and had just under 50% armour, but cap was low so went to warp out. Tried 3 times, but ship would not go to warp. Caught the message on the last try and then tried to take out the drone, but by this time I was almost in structure. I will still have the logs, so will confirm who did the scrambling tonight. ----------------------- Honor and Serve!

They cut the bounties and i was able to finish the mission in like 1minute max. They have been weakend.
